I mainly only played Snakes and Ladder game (I don't know if that's the name?) and Monopoly. I absolutely love Monopoly! It's one of the best social types of board games. It encourages interaction between the players and it's perfect to play with family or friends. Even now that I am older I have Monopoly in the closet and often bring it out when I have people over. I really like that you can't get bored of it because every time you play, something else is different. Also, the more players, the more challenging it is.

I have a confession to make: I like Monopoly. I don't just like Monopoly though; I'm the cut-throat variety of player no one actually wants to play with because I will go full Fat Cat on them. I make shady deals that appear to benefit them, but which actually set me up for future success at their expense. I make them pay for my success! And when I land on that ever-loving "go to jail" spot, I just pay off the guards. I erect illegal casinos on the Boardwalk and use Park Place, a once thriving community, as a dumping ground for my socially undesirables. Muwaaaahahahahahaha!

...I mean...I like Monopoly. :relaxed:

My favorite board game still remain scrabble. I can play it any day any time. It is one of the board games that luck plays little role it. I am good with words so it is fun trying to outplay your mate with the combination of letters and positioning to acquire betters score. That is fun plus smart. But away from scramble I do enjoy playing cards, especially with my colleagues. Funny enough we call the gaming activities board meeting.

Lol yes my mom used to take it very seriously. But we all believed in family bonding and the importance of sportsmanship, even in something as simple as a board game. We're family and we cannot let a board game define our relationship. Although sometimes, I used to try to lose on purpose to make any of my family members win, only to realize some of them are trying to do the same :p That used to be a little confusing but it was just raw fun and every second I spend with my family is irreplaceable, be it a board game or a computer game. Just because it may give rise to some small issues doesn't mean its not worth it. :)
Yeah, it's always gonna be a bloodbath with that one person taking it too seriously. I can't let other people win though. If I'm playing a game with my brothers there's no way any of us are gonna let the others win just so we can enjoy ourselves. But hey, all we play are card games and snakes and ladders, where you can't directly impede your opponent's progress in the game, unlike Monopoly.

I think that board games are very underrated these days because they are actually very fun. I say they're underrated because not a lot of people play them anymore and it truly is a real shame.

I love to play Game of Thrones board games and they are nice additions to my great collections of Game of Thrones stuffs. In the setups, you control one of the houses and have to build your way up so it does feel like the setups of video games. The skills that are required to play this game is more than the simple analysis skills as well so it is fun to play with friends.

Monopoly is great, but I'd never play a digitised version. Paper money or nothing, I'm sorry but people cheat all the time in real life business so why should gaming business be any different? So I'll play Monopoly so long as we have actual Monopoly money.
I have a Pokemon Monopoly too, that I love. I've had it a few years now but no one will play it with me because my family are either too young, or are lame.

Guess Who is fantastic.

Also, I remember a game from when I was a kid called Horror House. But I've looked up buying it and the price these days is ridiculous.

Board games are fun especially when playing them with friends or family. There are a lot of board games which I play regularly from time to time.

First off, I love a google game of chess. Strategic and concise. I also enjoy a bit of scrabble, but the icing on the cake is Monopoly.

I like Clue very much. It is very entertaining to guess the murderer, the weapon and the place of murder. I am not very good at it but, it's fun :D I also like Monopoly, it is an amazing board game but it lasts very long. That is why I am avoiding playing Monopoly.

There are alot of great board games. I would have to go with Monopoly as my favorite, although I haven't actually played it in years. I played board games alot as a kid, and one summer played Trivial Pursuit for weeks at a time. Pictionary is another good game. I want to play Cranium sometime though.

Clue was my absolute favorite board game growing up. Something about systematically narrowing down all of the elements to guess the murderer before everyone else gave me a competitive rush. It's been years since I've played it. I'll have to dig it out of my closet for my next family get together!

More recently, I really enjoyed Apples to Apples, and of course, Cards Against Humanity. There is no shortage of laughter between my friends and I when we break out Cards.

I used to play Monopoly, Scrabble, and Chess sometimes when I was in school. Now, these days I don't play those games but I think those were really great games to learn and enjoy some fun times with my friends.

Mostly Monopoly since that's a fun game where you can sit down with your friends/family for a couple of hours and battle each other out. I also love chess and backgammon, but I don't play them as often.

Scrabble sucks for me since there's always that player who invents a word just to fit the letters he has. Dictionaries don't really matter too since they will say it's not there but he's used it before. I swear with direct competition there's always that one person who really really wants to win no matter what the cost. It's both hilarious and annoying.

My favorite board game is Chess. This is because it requires a lot of concentration. I like complicated and puzzling games because they help me focus and enhance my problem solving skills.

As we all know that every game has a downside, so as with this game too. Obviously, it's annoying when you can't win, but also fun to try something like that. By the way, I don't play those games anymore, I just used play in the past when I was a kid.

A bit boring, but hey. I'm gonna say Monopoly. It's practically the mother of all board game. Also the mother of destroying relationships and the mother of games that makes it's players hate themselves and their luck. Tied with Uno, but that's not really a board game (that falls into the card game category I believe). Anyway yeah, whenever me and my friends were going to play a board game, I'd always suggest Monopoly.
Yeah, board games are rather boring. And Monopoly defies this notion of boredom. It is one of the best board games we have or played. It get us hooked to it all the way make us having fun with our friends and forget about outside world.

I loved playing Dixit and Seasons but I had a blast playing this card game called Exploding Kittens, oh my god it was so fun because the cards are illustrated by the creator of The Oatmeal comics you should check it out.
Exploding Kittens is so fun to play! My friends I used to play as we waited for class to start. We also played a game called SuperFight. That was a great game to play as well. And who can leave out the classic Cards Against Humanity!? Technically these are all card games but oh well. When it comes to traditional board games Clue and Risk are my favorites! Unfortunately no one in my family or friends group ever wants to play Risk so I have to resort to playing it on my phone where I get my butt beaten pretty easily.

There will always be a cheater in every game. It's common rule of thumb. Especially with games involving relatives or friends. Someone out there will not want to lose even for a second. That's why it's better to just do your own thing during "family time" since it would lead to a less chaotic atmosphere compared to people competing to win a game with virtually no price. God help you of you actually bet money for these games. It's gonna be a bloodbath.

Scrabble is the one we used to play all the time when it comes to board games. We love to play this because it makes us develop our critical thinking and build strategies. Furthermore, it adds knowledge specially in our vocabulary and analyzing. Eating popcorn while playing it makes more cool and fun specially when your laughing at each other to the point that popcorn already messed up on the floor. For others this board game is boring but for me, my family and my friends its the coolest board game.
