Do you dream about your game?

Yeah... The more you play the game the more your subconscious mind gets engrossed in it. I think this is a simple principle of relativity which affects most of the gamers.

Even I was surprised to see that I was not the only person experiencing this. This is the best part of forum discussions. We get to learn and discuss so many things.

Did you ever had an experience where you're stuck in a game, and then dream about it, and in the morning you have a new solution? I've recently been playing a lot of puzzle games and those can really be brain teasers. Sometimes I'd get stuck for an hour on a single puzzle, but then I'd go to sleep, dream about the game, and have a solution in the morning.

I think that everybody can dream about this lol, I have dreamed about so many games, it is so real that I enjoy playing the game. And it is off topic, but one time I was so freaked out about a calculus test that the day before I dreamed about me doing the test, and it was awful .

God, yes, it happens a lot of times. The worst/best thing about it is that I always mix the dream I just had with my memories, and... well, it's not that pleasant when you dream about getting the best equipment in the game or when you make up cutscenes or events that will never happen.
It makes for very fun dreams, though.

I can't say that I've ever played games in my dreams, but things from the game have entered my dreams at times. I've had the occasional daydream as well. Something in real life will remind me of the game (like a particular landscape or something), and it will make me think about playing. It will sometimes also make me want to go play, so it's kind of a bummer if I'm busy.

I get your point mate but it is really different when you are dreaming about it - it turns out to be a nightmare! Specially if you are constantly stressed. I remember I was in Netherstorm and that place is like a floating island in a vortex with a lot of particles and lightning or whatever they're called. :D

I can get your point too. During our dreams we can make everything bigger and more complicated than it actually seems. :tonguewink:

absolutely, when i play a game before i go to sleep, it stucks in my mind but i don't exactly dream the same game but i dream an other story line like a new DLC new characters new quests, and i love it it's so wonderfull what the human mind can produce during sleep time.

The same happens to you when you watch some horror movie? Or is it just with games? :tongueclosed:

I dreamt of being the top player in the game.
Of course,it was all nice and great, until I woke up and realised Im still trash lol.
Or either,I had dreams of getting banned in my games.
You may only dream if you are too obsessed with a game or you are in love with it.

Yep I guess I'm one of the rare exceptions, I'd sure love to dream about all my game fetishes though :)

You are the first person that I "met" who can't dream about the any games. Are you a mutant?

Well, I spend most of my day playing games on my console / PC, so most of the times I dream of the games that I've played before, sometimes that annoys me a lot and sometimes not.

OMG Yes! I thought this was so bizarre the first time it happened! I even began to worry, because it was a really scary dream and then I stopped playing the game for a while, I remember It was about zombies and I was in the game! I had played the whole day that same game and I was a bit obsessed with it to be honest. The second time It happened it was a most “pleasant” experience but I still think It’s a really weird feeling when you wake up and you realize you dreamed about the game you’ve been playing.

Certainly. My answer for this question will be yes. Yes I do. What happens we play games for hours and fully engrossed in them.We imagine our self to be actively involve in the games. This create the environment that we always tend to see dreams about those games we played. It feels amazing ad exciting. We get real life experience in our games.

There are a few scary parts of WoW that could cause nightmares, especially in the earlier versions of the game. The old Plaguelands, Duskwood with *Stitches lumbering after you, Raven Hill, Kirin'Var Village etc. Those places used to be pretty creepy.:screamcat:

When addiction is too great (I mean... something beyond the normal ) we can end up confusing reality with the imaginary world. It's good to be always careful.:smirk:

Why dreaming about the games you play makes you bored? I mean, it should be something would make you more excited (or not? :sleepy:).

So, I think something (games or movies) heavier wouldn't be ideal for you. I mean, you'd better avoid them.
