What a question, and this probably has a pretty predictable answer, but, yes, I think I had a bit of an unhealthy crush on Lara Croft when I was a young gamer...I am sure I am not the only post-pubescent straight male who experienced this at some point. I did grow out of it, thankfully, but, for a while there, it was a little weird, lol.

Yes, I fell in love with "Ghost" in Call of duty: Modern warfare 2..I was really sad when General Shepard killed him and he also killed Roach..

Yes it is possible, basically the whole community of league of legends is in love with Ahri, check it yourself and tell me ;)
LOL, I really liked the Arcade Ahri skin on release, the splash art associated with it looks really cool too!

Cannot say that I loved her, but I really like how she looks like :D

I have not fallen in love with game characters but I really liked Dante from Devil May Cry. I think he's an awesome and versatile character.

Is hard to anwers that question for me, only happens to my once time in skyrim with the expansion Dawnguard, in one of the missions we have to go to a dungeon to fight with some vampires and descover what is up to, in the dungeon we see someone of our group death near a door with a lot of vampires, we have to kill them all to advance and find later a some kind of sarcophagus and inside was her, her name Serana.

I think "falling in love" is a bit too far, but there are game characters and worlds that have evoked strong feelings for. That's the product of a good narrative and thoughtful game mechanics. It's what every developer should be striving for as emotional bonds are profoundly good marketing tools. What has surprised me once in a while is that I will sometimes feel a peculiar type of sadness, a longing for something that doesn't exist. There are characters and locales I related to in a way that made me sad they aren't real and that there will be no further insight into their "lives".

Hahaha nowadays I am over her. She broke my heart for not being real :( But I hope you have a better luck with her than me. Sometimes what we wish for becomes the truth ;)

No, and I don't know how could that happen honestly. I mean, you can admire the... design? of a character, but actually feel anything for it... How? It's drawn, it's animated, it's like a cartoon. I don't really understand that. I mean you can appreciate the aesthetics or the well thought out characteristics but actually feel anything for it - how would that even happen?
Not that I'm judgmental to anyone to whom it's happened, I just have a hard time understanding that.

But seriously though to you guys who met and played with a "girl" character in game, don't tell me you haven't felt something. ;) I know I did back in the day. It's like I don't even care about the game anymore. As long as "she" is online and we can chat and party and kill some murlocs I don't really mind at all. Notice that I kept on putting quotation marks to certain words? LOOOL!

It has never happen to me, I found it a little bit weird/ funny to be “in love” with a game character. I don’t know but I think you can perhaps like it but not as much as love it. If you actually love it maybe you need to see a specialist in psychology because as someone said before love is a strong word! I don’t think one can love a fictional character…

Remember Chloe Frazer from Uncharted 2? I did not fell in love with her but man, how I spend a long time wanting her to be real because she was beautiful, I really liked her.

Ha that sounds funny like the movie about the guy who fell in love with a voice like Siri. I think these sorts of things will continue to happen as the lines between fantasy and reality get more and more blurry. It is just bound to be something that will continue to happen more.

I love her charm
It is very unique, the truth she is the only champion with that beautiful charisma, the others are very dark or have a somewhat of serious past, except Veigar, he is fine.

As everyone else said, yeah, love is a strong word. I don't think I've ever had a crush on any character, either, at least not physically.
I mean, the first character who comes to mind is GLaDOS. Maybe I'm a bit masochistic, but I really adored her. I don't think I could feel attracted to a potato robot, though.

GlaDos have a bigger fanbase than you can think in that area - I'm not part of it, I just randomly came across some pictures of her on the Internet... If you look on Google for humanized versions of her, you'll find something that you migh end liking, or want to forget completely. Internet is a weird place, yes.
