Do you bet on games?

I bet using in-game items on Dota 2 matches. I think gambling on a small scale is fine as long as you don't get addicted.

I have played poker before and that is as far as I will go when it comes to gambling. I don't bet on other games, I think that it will take away some of the enjoyment of the game.

Well, i play poker so yes betting is a constant thing for me. While it is something I definitely don't advise anyone doing I have to say i've had my fair share of ups and down. The important thing is to keep a cool head about it and don't gamble more than you can cover.

I have never posted a bet on a video game. In fact, I didn't know this can be possible. Anyway, I would not do it. I am against gambling of any type, football game, horses race or casino games. I never bet and I never will do so, I am afraid of getting addicted and lost my money, home and family!

I do not bet on anything at all. It has never been in my nature to want to gamble hence my cold attitude towards anything that relates to that. Even if I could win, I can not feel satisfied spending money I somehow stole. That peace of mind is just not there for me. Besides, gaming should not tie you to an obligation to win at all cost. Yeah, your opinion is on point.
At times I wonder what would make a gamer put his last coins on a game and walk to the house or beg for fare when he loses.
Instead of me to bet, I will rather buy a new game as someone suggested.
To me, betting is a bad habit which must be stopped, at least in gaming.

No, I don't bet on games. I've never done that before and I don't see myself doing it in the future. I think gaming is that, a GAME. I don't think games should be used for earning money. For me, gaming is one of my favorite ways of entertaining, bet on it would make it more stressfull and I wouldn't enjoy it that much. I'm a competitive person when it comes to games, but only for the pleasure ow wining or getting into the next level of the game... not because I want to earn something from that.

Often in this case it's between friends this particular is my case. It's something I call friendly gambling unlike the professional gambling that involves gambling on sports.
But in another direction for years now , sports, games have always being medium of gambling only recently that they add weather forecast and election results. Meanwhile politics is another game on its own.

I agree. However, the betting sites are popping up like mushrooms. People see it as opportunities to make money. At the end of the day, it is actually up to gamers to choose to participate. Compulsive gambling is definitely harmful.

Exactly taking gambling as job is harmful and I don't recommend it. The type of friendly betting that I mentioned is not about sport bet bookmakers, I mean friendly bet amidst friends while gaming.

Yes I can see your point. I just do not enjoy how much people hurt themselves in the name of gambling. I would rather put that small money in real business.

Many gamers see fun in betting over games while others see it as not so a good thing to spend money on.
I personally know people who put money on top of their games so that the winner takes all the money away.
Majority of them spend all their monies and resort to begging before they can go back to their houses.
Honestly, I haven't bet on any video game ever. Lol.

Personally, I don't like betting in the game. It takes away the real charm of the game. It is gamble like we play in casino. We feel lost after loosing our money. I have not try this and don't encourage anyone to try this. It is very bad habit betting on games. We play games for enjoyment and fun not to loose our valuable money.

Well it is a kind of bet when you participate in a tournament. I did it twice, my team and me, we participated as 5 in a League of legends tournament and we finished a 2nd. We won a prize which is equal to 20$ per a person. The feeling was great ! Doing something you love and earning money from it is the best thing you can ever do.

No, because I think gaming is not something related to gambling. Yes, we can participate in gaming competitions though but betting on games is not what I do. I play games for fun and pure enjoyment, other than that if you want to test your skills then participate in online gaming tournaments.

Sometimes. When I go out to a friends house or my friends come here to play games we bet to make the games better, I like to bet in FIFA and in the Call of Duty games, this is fun because we have a great time, we eat and drink and talk about everything
