Do you bet on games?

Many gamers see fun in betting over games while others see it as not so a good thing to spend money on.
I personally know people who put money on top of their games so that the winner takes all the money away.
Majority of them spend all their monies and resort to begging before they can go back to their houses.
Honestly, I haven't bet on any video game ever. Lol.
Have you or not?
Do you encourage it?

I do not enjoy gambling at all. I would rather spend my money on another game, a known quantity, than bet money on the chance of making more if I'm lucky. Winning is almost worse than losing because it's all too easy to get roped into the excitement. So many people blow a lucky break when they gamble because it felt so easy and it seems like they could win again if they just double down. Next thing you know they go from being ahead to not even having the money they walked in with. If you're wealthy enough to have money to burn, that's another circumstance. I don't. My money has to procure something of value.

I have never betted on any games, ever. There are two simple reasons:

1) I am far too frugal when it comes to money.

2) It is too risky. I always invest money into things that don't involve many risks and betting has too many variables and factors that can influence the outcome.

Sure you can make money and profit betting on games but you can also easily get addicted and end up losing more than you wanted.

I absolutely don't bet on games gaming should be easy and fun lets not make it as a gambling session. Games are made to enjoy, entertain and to make fun. If your hobby is putting a bet on every game you're playing well you're not a game lover or you're not even worth it to play it. Putting a bet on it makes you no different to those people who go to the Casino or any gambling arena. Gaming with a bet also cause trouble and I assure it is as I know someone who addicted to it. Let's not make games as a dirty way to earn a living.

I don't like gambling at all so I've never bet real money on anything, let alone on video games. I'd rather spend it on something I need or invest the money in a more traditional way with less risk.

I never really considered betting on games since it is something that feels "wrong" to me. I had a friend though that bets on CS:GO games (I think they recently banned those sites, I don't know) and he seems to be having fun.

And also, I don't even have enough money to bet in the first place let alone money to bet so I guess that's one of the advantages of being poor

I'm strictly against betting. Gaming is just for fun and adding this element of gambling ruins all the fun. It tenses and destroys the entire atmosphere.

Moreover whenever I play games I want to play them with a relaxed mind free from all the pressure and underlying tensions.

Sometimes I bet on games. It would be like the one who scores highest will take all money. However, I do this kind of betting only with my close friends. betting amount is always small and we do this for fun. When the contest ends we use that money to buy beers.
As long as you don't over do, I think betting is ok.

Yes some while bank though I don't do it anymore now. But then I used to do it with my peers. We used to do it for fun then tho. And the game we used is pes. On pes 2010 î guess there's option there we called it konami. I don't know if that is the real name, the option will pick team randomly and will display result after some minutes without any one actually playing. So each one of us will pick a team then the team with the best result wins.

I see that as gambling and I am not in any way been a fan of gambling. I'm afraid of been an addict, that is why I do not want to go near baiting. I have seen so many addicts of baiting which I do not want to be like them.

No, I don't bet on games. I've never done that before and I don't see myself doing it in the future. I think gaming is that, a GAME. I don't think games should be used for earning money. For me, gaming is one of my favorite ways of entertaining, bet on it would make it more stressfull and I wouldn't enjoy it that much. I'm a competitive person when it comes to games, but only for the pleasure ow wining or getting into the next level of the game... not because I want to earn something from that.

I also do not bet on games.Gambling is always a quick route to lose your money,and as they say,'The house always wins'. I would rather suggest you use that money to buy more games or something rather than betting on a game.

Yeah sure myself and my friends do it sometimes bust to sweeten the game you know like FIFA the first to score. It helps keep the spirit up and increases the sportsmanship spirit sometimes the loser drinks the beer or buys us lunch it's basically just to create a little tension.

I have never bet money on games, but friends and I have had game playoffs for things such as the loser has to buy dinner and, once, my buddy ended up having to cut my grass after I trounced him hardcore in Mortal Combat. I do not think I'd ever bet money on gameplay, but it would be awesome, I think, to be a paid or professional gameplayer or game tester, so to speak.

You mean on online gaming? There's a thing on Dota 2 where you "bet" on your team winning in the game, while there's also "bets" during international competitions and which team would win. I don't do either but I don't think the first one is that bad since it's just for in-game items and prizes, compared to more complicated gambling stuff like actual odds, bets, and winnings. I don't think international competitions are regulated enough to have a fair share of monitoring, so gambling on them would be a bad idea, in my opinion at least.

Back then I used to bet on Defense of the Ancients 2 matches wherein the you will be betting your cosmetic items instead of money. I know that it is not certain that you will make money from it but the thought of winning a lot of items in return is just exciting and that got me betting for at least months. When I ran out of items to bet in DotA 2, I moved on to Counter Strike: Global Offensive betting and started there too. I gained 10$ profit from a match, I remember but I was stubborn to try betting my winnings again which made me lose my items. I stopped betting then but I thought it was a fun experience, but it's still gambling.

I do not bet on anything at all. It has never been in my nature to want to gamble hence my cold attitude towards anything that relates to that. Even if I could win, I can not feel satisfied spending money I somehow stole. That peace of mind is just not there for me. Besides, gaming should not tie you to an obligation to win at all cost. It's okay if you are rewarded but never cool to want to win at all cost. My opinion...
