Do cheat guides make games too boring?

On certain games, like Super Mario Galaxy, it just takes a little mental effort. In fact, it seems like resorting to guides is just laziness, tbh.

Game Show/Board Game Based Video Games

Why not just play the computer players?

Will PC gaming ever take over completely??

No, I don't think so for the simple reason that gaming computers are simply too expensive for a lot of young people. I mean, you're talking about 700 USD at the very least normally - and even the really big deals would be around 300 USD or something - which still makes consoles something that...

    What happened to Arcades?

There is an arcade in our local mall and I have to say that there is still some aura about them that consoles and PCs cannot match, but might come close with surround sound. Anyway, I suppose it's like comparing home theater systems to a cinema. Anyway, though, despite the fun, they are a...

    Remembering the Atari 2600

I liked the game Pitfall Harry in the 1980s (my childhood). It was definitely intriguing and time-consuming. In that case, I don't think simple is always bad, or how would have Atari made all that money?

    Renting Games vs Buying

If you all think renting is crazy, then imagine the days when kids put in quarters to play. Can you imagine how much money they threw away - when now 50 bucks will grant you unlimited play? That's insane, tbh.

Game Show/Board Game Based Video Games

Does anyone like games like Wheel of Fortune, Life, or Monopoly? How often do you play them? Do you prefer them as video games - or on TV or in a traditional manner?

    Creating Your Own Game

Has anyone thought about programming their own game or perhaps hiring someone else to make a custom one? Has anyone done it? How much time, skill, and money were needed?

Do cheat guides make games too boring?

The whole fun of a game seems to be figuring out a mystery. in that case, cheat guides, though necessary at times, are not something one wants to be dependent on. Anyway, do you all use them?

Wii (and Wii U) Controllers vs The Switch Controllers

Not sure about The Switch controllers as I haven't tried the system, but I know all about the Wii (and Wii U) ones with their certain and unique way about them. Anyway, I'm wondering if The Switch is an abandonment of the old way and if there is some new way which is perhaps unique or better...

DOes anyone play Ninendo Wii anymore

I love Nintendo Wii and play whenever possible. In fact, it's the only system I have. However, I'd like to try The Switch and Wii U, though.

    Renting Games vs Buying

Some might feel certain games - like certain movies, are just too boring to buy. In other words, you play it once or a few times and you've had enough, or at least you've had enough for say a few months or a year. However, though, there may be some who enjoy the games they've played so much...

Do you ever feel bad at killing someone in games?

This stuff is total fantasy. Nonetheless, when it comes to robots (at least, the ones not designed for combat), I don't really like seeing people be mean to them, even though they're not real. I think, for some reason, it isn't the same as with something on a TV or computer screen - as we see...

    Addicting Games

I was massively addicted to the Atari game Pitfall Harry as a kid and also got heavily into Banjo-Kazooie and Mario Galaxy I and II later. In the past, I also liked Super Mario III, Super Mario Wii, and Donkey Kong. All of those are addicting games - because they are so much fun.

    Are You Losing Interest Too?

I think a lot of people go thru phases with hobbies. For instance, a guitar player might play a lot for a season and then totally avoid it another. However, though, some people say it's a good idea to take a break from a hobby because you come back refreshed. In that case, what you do becomes...

    Steam is bad

The PayPal Steam gift codes are a bit of a mess. However, I suppose credit cards work well for it. Nonetheless, my purchases are from GameStop and sometimes Wal-Mart or Target. But I'm referring to direct purchases, not Steam gift cards.

Are Games Getting Boring to talk about?

I don't think there should be an incentive to talk about a passionate hobby - but it's always cool if there is - though that sounds contradictory - but I think you get my point. Anyway, the problem lies in the fact that the posters don't know enough about games and/or they don't really like...

Gaming Addiction vs an Enjoyable Hobby

Are people claiming people have an addiction exaggerating? They might be. I mean, anyone passionate about a hobby might seem weird and eccentric to outsiders.

    Gaming addiction

As old timers might sort of say, "Free time is evil time.". ;) I mean, obviously, these people have a load of free time or they couldn't engage in the addiction. But note, it is true that people can make time, even people with a busy schedule.
