Oh my God...you are all going to laugh. I am 45 years old, and I remember being over-joyed when my father brought home PONG--I think it was called PONG--where you used a bar to bounce the white dot back and forth. After that, of course, we had an Atari system, which, actually, I loved, and I am still fond of the memories I have of playing Pac Man, Defender, Donkey Kong, and Space Invaders on that home system.
I got my dad (53 years old) a joystick-like device from Target a while back that came loaded with Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Galaga and several other games. I've never seen him get that excited over video games before. He said he remembered taking bags full of quarters down to the local arcade when he was younger to play those games, and thought it was crazy that now he could play them whenever he wanted for free. It's crazy how things have changed over time!

Sega genesis. I can still remember playing Sonic and Aladdin on it, it was the greatest. My older cousin had Sega too and he'd sometimes bring Mortal Kombat and he'll regularly beat me, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. Mostly because my folks wouldn't let me play MK.

Well I am old and never had one. My son's was the first Play Station though. He had a Sega Genesis at one time too, and a portable game boy. He has had several gaming systems in his day. I am not sure what he is using now. I will have to ask him the next time I talk to him.

My first console was a SOny Playstation. It was bought by my brother in law, who wanted to play games with my son. However it didn't last long because the gadget became faulty , unable to read the cd games and kept hanging with the arrow keep loading non stop.

The old Atari 2600 was my first. I'll never forget how special it felt compared to other toys. This was before people were really "gamers" so it wasn't always hooked up. But when it was, it was great fun. The Atari very unique sounds, especially when you consider I had it in the early 80s. Everything about it was unique and strange in a wonderful way. Maze Craze and Defenders were probably my favorite games.

Don't know if this counts but my first console was probably the Family Computer. It's the console where you put the game disk in the keyboard to play it.

It mostly had arcade-ish games on it. What I remember the most was the duck hunt game and we even had a dedicated gun to use that goes along with it. I still have the Famicom lying around somewhere..

Wow, the Nintendo 64 was such an amazing console! I remember playing my N64 too, I had very few games though. I mostly played and Goldeneye and Super Mario 64, playing those games was such a blast!

Do you still have your console? I have it stored on my attic and cannot let go of it since it was part of my childhood :D

My first console was Play station 1, it was something amazing for me, because I got it once it got released, I was amazed with some of the games graphics..but after PS2 I got Xbox 360 which I found better than the PS.
