I have a few but I can't post them all because I don't have the screen shots..

what is your favorite mount? Which mount did you work the hardest for?

My favorite one is the purple fire hawk I forget the name of it.. I think it's really cool looking. Here's a screenshot of my mage on it. I miss the game and flying around on these cool looking mounts. I don't have any of the new ones since I don't play right now and don't have the expanion

Mine is probably the Ironbound Proto Drake. http://www.wowhead.com/item=45801/reins-of-the-ironbound-proto-drake I like the mount itself, but mostly it's the memories behind earning it (at level). I was on a raid team full of cool people, and we had so much fun getting those mounts. That whole raid was just good times. Dark Pheonix goes into this category too. Cool mount, fun times getting it. Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher too, plus it looks wicked.

I'm also pretty proud of my Vicious Warsaber (PvP Mount).

I have so many mounts that I absolutely love. I use different flying and ground mount and I often switch them up. I also love the addition of the new classes mounts - shamans is the best looking.

My favorite flying is probably Ashes of Al'ar. I've spent hours and hours farming that damn bird. I wanted to give up after I farmed it for over 2 months every single reset. Then it finally dropped. I was so happy and enjoyed showing it off all over Orgrimmar.

My favorite ground mount is Raven Lord. It drops in the Sethekk Halls and it isn't that hard to get, to be honest. It didn't take me many clears, maybe like 4-6. It's a really beautiful mount though.

Well, you should consider yourself lucky getting Ashes after only a couple of months. Grats. Even though it's not as rare as it was, it can still take forever to get for some people. Many have given up; many are still farming. It is a cool looking mount though.

I don't have it. I have the purple reskin of it. I think it was a guild raid thing, if I remember right. It's been a while.

I guess I should be lucky and proud of myself but I have a friend that literally got it within 10 clears. I was so annoyed, haha.

The purple reskin you're talking about is called Reins of the Dark Phoenix and yes, you can buy it from the guild vendor once you have the achievement ''Glory of the Cataclysm Raider''. I also have it and it isn't a bad alternative to the original.

I still remember the first time that the Tempest Keep opened up and one of the top guilds on our server got it as a drop. The guy was sat AFK on it in Shattrath like nonstop. I often admired it and I was desperate to get it as well. I did get it but obviously years later.

Yes! That's the one. I couldn't think of the name for the life of me. Thanks. It's not a bad looking mount at all, and it was fun getting it, but I still like Ashes of Al'ar better.

Ah, yes, the good old days, when epic still meant epic and rare still meant rare. It was great to walk into a city and see people showing off the gear and mounts they had worked hard for. Now, everybody has everything.

Unicorn, actually.

It was the first one I got after the Chocobo, and I leveled WHM just to get it.

I use others, but it's always the one I go back to. I wish there was a way to make it a flying mount.

Still to this days Swift Frostsaber for land mount and Heartstead for flying one. Frostsaber is oldest riding mount there is but i still enjoy its movement graphic and visuals and hearstead is just right amount of style and shine not to be to plain and not to be too sassy xD.

Everyone has such cool choices to go for... But I'm still loyal to the Swift Warstrider.
It's such a funny-looking guy, I can't help but remember it fondly still.
I really want to play again. Sheesh.

Yeah, the Warstrider is cool looking. I have a couple hawkstriders that are similar. I think one of them was from Valentine's day events (pink and purple) and the other was a drop in a dungeon. It's the Swift White Hawkstrider, off Kael'thas Sunstrider in Magister's Terrace. I love that mount.

I won it by accident too. My husband was farming for it and asked me to go with. I won the roll. I tried to give it to him, but he wanted me to keep it. I felt bad, but he insisted. We always rolled "need" on everything (to try to get the achievement), so I just automatically did that and won.

I remember before playing a gnome and they have this chicken like mount. It's very cool and very fast too! (although they are all the same :D )

It's an oldie, but a goodie: The Ashes of Al'ar.

It's not the prettiest model, nor does it have the best skinning ever. But those streaks of purple and orange fire left behind it in the sky were a source of great jealousy for me. I began my WoW obsession back in Burning Crusade, and I came in about half way through. That was back when leveling was an arduous ordeal, and given that I was brand new at MMORPGs, I knew nothing about what I was doing. I didn't make it to level cap until well after the main wave of players had already long progressed past the early end-game stuff so I never got to do the raid where it dropped when it was relevant. And you weren't exactly soloing that stuff back in Lich King, either so it was years of yearning for me until I finally got it to drop when I was soloing it. I farmed for a solid 3 months before it dropped, which is actually pretty good compared to stories I've heard from other people. But after years of waiting those 3 months were miserable.

When it finally dropped it became my signature mount and I still ride it all over the place.

You are one lucky guy man. I used to love that mount. It's just so unique and special. Although I already forgot who drop that. I am thinking Al'ar but I could be wrong. There are other bosses in Tempest Keep who drops that mount. Isn't it Kael'thas the Sunstrider? Maaaan I miss TBC so much memories. :'(

It was Kael'thas who dropped it for me. And that was back when soloing it was still pretty tricky and required an adherence to the fight mechanics to succeed. Today any end gamer in basic blues will bulldoze right over him. I still get the shakes when his lieutenants walk onto the field and blow that horn which freezes you in place. I died so many times trying to manage that part as a then-fury warrior.

Knew it! Have you actually fought those bosses in Tempest Keep when you were playing The Burning Crusade? I mean in real raid kind of thing. Because I remember we were always wiped whenever me or my friend try to host a PUG raid.

I have to admit that it's the Stone Drakes from Cata. I almost have all of them because they're so awesome to look at. I've always liked inorganic and organic blends when it comes to creature designs. My second favorite would be the fire hawk mounts, they're much better phoenixes than the Ashes mount which looks like a derp chicken imo.

Nope. Sadly I was just really finding my legs during that one patch where our ability trees were forcibly reset. I knew I was doing something wrong because I was having to stop after each battle to eat and only able to fight a single enemy at a time. As a warrior. An ARMS warrior. I was running around with a buckler and a one hander, some of my gear had INT on it. I was a mess!

On the reset, I decided to try and figure out what went wrong with how I'm playing more seriously and changed to fury spec and it just clicked for me. I became a wrecking machine and figured out that I'm supposed to be stacking specific stats and use specific types of gear. Sadly, I wasn't even attuned to every heroic dungeon yet and never got to run TK when it actually mattered. Missed opportunities, you know? :sleepy:

I did get to be pretty good by end game LK though and had a good time in Icecrown Citadel.

I like the hawk striders for aesthetics, but for actually getting myself around, I'm usually going to use the chauffeur summon. Mostly because I like to play in groups, so everyone uses the fastest mounts to get things done quicker.
The hawkstriders are still my favorite to use when I'm not racing people, haha.

I see. That's sad to hear. :/ Anyway, I haven't really played Wrath of the Lich King. I somewhat jumped from The Burning Crusade to the Mist of Pandaria expansion. What was the endgame mount on WotLK?
