A 56 page was leaked recently online that is allegedly plans for the Xbox 720, or whatever the next generation Xbox will be. According to the document the console is slated for release sometime in 2013, but also supposedly shows a "road map" of where Microsoft is going with the console through 2015. The documents show many supposed features like DVR-ish capabilities, 3D support, cloud based gaming, as well as running on Windows 8.
One of the largest features shown in the document is the Kinect version 2. The second generation Kinect supposedly will have better accuracy, improved voice recognition, and support for motion tracking for up to four players. The biggest part of Kinect 2 is that it may involve a pair of Wifi-enabled, augmented reality glasses. They would be slated for release in 2014 and would also be devices that can be taken with a person and used for things other than the Xbox (like Google's Project Glass, another augmented reality glasses initiative). The "Kinect 2" has been stated in the document to be called Project Fortaleza, much like Project Durango (the next gen Xbox).
The final important part of the document states that somewhere around 2015 Microsoft will be switching to cloud based gaming. This would mean that the next generation Xbox or even the one after that, could be the final console as no hardware upgrades would be ever needed with cloud based gaming.
NOTE: As previously stated several times this is not final and has not been confirmed by Microsoft. Also take in to consideration that Microsoft has had "leaks " related to the Xbox systems before and the company has ended up going in a completely different direction.
