I just can't seem to be able to get into Twitch. For one thing all of my favorite Let's Play channels are on YouTube, and if any of the players are on Twitch it's typically just for some sort of special event or charity. Another thing is that I just don't find many of the personalities on Twitch to be entertaining, especially when they're playing a very long, drawn out session that doesn't have any editing and what not to spice up the entertainment value. Typically rather than going on Twitch I just watch the uncut version of a YouTube Let's Play.

When people want live interaction with the broadcaster, people think of twitch. I personally have never gone on YouTube to find live streams. The only live streams i watch on YouTube are from people i am a fan of already, but when i want to find random people, i go to twitch because that's what I'm used to.

I actually prefer using YouTube for watching livestreams and gameplay. When someone livestreams on youtube, youtube automatically uploads the livestream session which is something I enjoy. However, I also like using twitch because of the mass amount of livestream genres.

I never used Twitch but I am suing YouTube a lot. I have an account there since 2013, and I have uploaded a lot of videos mostly about games like Minecraft or Counter Strike Global Offensive, and not only I posted a few with some music. I like YouTube, and I don't intend to change it!

Youtube for media videos, Twitch for gaming videos. Only experience I had on Twitch though was when thousands of players used it to play one game of Pokemon, and it was fun to watch. Youtube is more for videos in general, not just games, and the layout is easy enough to drown hours of your day watching video after video. All in all, they have their own target demographics.

Each in its own space. I mostly watch gaming on Youtube. I find it more fun and condensed. I like that it's edited with the boring parts removed. Usually when I watch Twitch, I loose interest and concentration after a while. On a busy channel, it's hard to get noticed or interact with the streamer. My internet is also not powerful enough to stream properly for too long anyway.

YouTube.
Twitch has too much meme spam in the corner for me to enjoy the broadcast entirely. Besides that don't enjoy the slow interface; takes too long to watch and find another game. it's mibile app is cluttered and has lower qualify than on a desktop.
Meanwhile YouTube is more spaced out, but has a wonky recommendation system.

I think it's important to note that I am not particularly interested in the social aspect of any "let's play" channel so for me, the classic, standardized format of Youtube fits like a glove. And though Twitch is growing, it's got a long way to go in delivering the built-in user base to content creators that is so important in growing a channel. A great many people use Youtube as a forgone conclusion in their day, so they may run into your content even if they weren't specifically looking for it. Twitch simply cannot deliver that kind of result at this time.

My preference for UI and video watching is Youtube because the youtube interface looks simple and neat but I prefer twitch when it comes to live streaming. I don't like the twitch UI when I access the twitch home page because it is very confusing and when you search for a game, the search result is not really what you are looking for.

I only used it once. When that whole Twitch plays Pokemon was huge. I didn't even stay to watch the gameplay, I just go once in a while to see where they are in the game. For me it's still Youtube since I don't like to watch others and their "let's play" stuff, I just want to watch videos from TV shows and all that.
