I am a pretty loyal player. I stick with a guild (a good one anyway), until the bitter end. I've only been in a handful over several years of playing. I've never been a guild hopper.

It wasn't until later that I changed guilds a few times in short order. My server was dying. We tried merging with a couple of other guilds, so that accounts for two of the changes. It just wasn't enough though.

We relocated to a new server. I ended up joining a PvP guild there, but I should have waited. I soon after left to join a friend's PvP guild that was more active.

Er, I have to count it in my head... I think four over three different games. One was back on Call of Duty 4. We were a clan that played tons of a mod called Promod. It was pretty common to play so-called ''wars'' on random servers. You even had cups and rankings on ESL website.

Another clan was on MW2. This was more of a friends type of clan. It was around 15 of us, all friends and we played MW2 together, scrimmed other clans and things like that. I loved those days the most!

Then I had two different clans in World of Warcraft. One clan was back in the vanilla days. It was my first serious clan and it was raid oriented. It took ages to even get inside because they were so strict. We did all of the 40 men raids but after a while, I just got burnt out and I took a break from WoW. During that time I quit the clan and when I returned I switched to playing Horde. Now, I am currently in a small social clan, we don't raid or anything. Just do mythics+ and socialize.

I've joined too many clans to count over the years. However, I've only been consistent in three over three games: CS:GO, MW2, and Roblox (if that counts as one:tearsofjoy:).

The thing with being in a clan is that it requires your time and dedication to truly be an active contributor, something I'm not good at. Over time, you can begin to frustrate other members of the clan that don't feel you're active and contribute enough.

This is why nowadays I'm more so of a solo gamer, rather than running with a specific clan in any game.

Lots of people aren't really team players any more and would rather go solo. That's why so many guilds in WoW suck these days. Too many want all the benefits of being in a guild that is dedicated and active, but they don't want to be expected to contribute anything. All the group finder stuff hasn't helped. You can basically play the entire game including raids now, without ever talking to another person, much less being a team member.

It gets old for the people putting in all the extra time and effort. It's good that some people recognize this and go do their own thing instead.

I think I joined a clan when I played (borrowed played) a Ragnarok character back in the early 2000s. It wasn't fun. All they do is order you around and they feel elitist towards newer members. I'd rather adventure solo or with a friend than having to show a guild logo, and then having to run around and do errands for them while they take a percentage of your loot.

Well I'm not sure if this really fits the criteria, but back in the day when I played Minecraft I was part of many different little teams and it was great fun. Then on Warface I was part of a local clan that I found by chance. Was playing a random matched game and I found some guys from the same country as me who happened to all be in the same clan, a very good clan no less. Joining them was the best decision I ever made and ultimately elevated my game ten fold.

I did join a sort of team when I played CS:GO too, but it wasn't as major of a deal and since the game doesn't work on any sort of real reward or currency system other than XP, there wasn't much benefit in it. Other than much easier matchmaking games of course.

I don't know exactly, but I'm sure I was just in a few, like 4. And I run like 1 one time, but nothing too serious.

When it comes to clan I'm a type of person who's picky so normally I only have 2 or 3 clans I am a member of. Most members of the clan I am a member of are my friends and relatives. Being with them makes easy for me to cooperate and share because were already closed to each other. Being in a clan with no one to know makes you unfamiliar with their attitude which makes adjustment harder.

I probably have been in less than 10 or so. I don't like leaving guilds a lot as I think it's kind of rude at times. Usually, I only look for social guilds anyway so when the chat is dead, that's the point where I leave the guild. I only join guilds to have my own group of virtual friends/families, I don't care about being competitive as I usually work solo when it comes to PvP anyways (not that I'm pro, I just feel better when I don't have to look out for someone)

I have been in 4 different gaming clans. 2 on PC and 2 on Playstation and like you said people lose interest. Today its too hard to get people to stick to one game to make it worth making/keeping a clan. Today's day and age people have a totally different mindset. They buy a game and play it and as soon as the next game comes out they either trade it in or the toss it in the "this game is never going to be played again" pile.

I've joined 2. One was for Uncharted series and one was for Star Wars Battlefront 2. Unfortunately, They both died due to loss of interest over time. I stayed until they were completely dead and inactive. Had some good times with them but good things never last forever...

I have been in 4 clans in CoC.
The first was a Romanian clan, the second was a clan founded by me(Ronins).
After I gave up on building my own team,I went to an UK clan.I spent over a month with those guys, but I l left because people were treating me so bad.
Right now,I'm in an UK Clan called Leicester since April, and not planning to move soon.

Been there, buddy. It always starts with a very good idea and then you decide to give it a go. Then things don't quite go like you planned and you start to run into problems with really aren't worth your time, after all, it's a video game after all. Next thing you know the clan is dead.

I've been in a few in my time. Unfortunately, they all seem to have broken apart due to lack of agreement because of a lost interest, decreasing member activity, etc. It's somewhat marred my view of guilds, because I never seem to be able to stay in one for a long time. I just... think that my time can be better spent in other ventures.

I have been in 2 gaming clans for MMORPG purpose.Apart from that, I have joined around 6 to 7 teams to play MOBA. I find that joining clans does help me to improve my gaming skills by getting feedback from others. It helped me to make new friends as well.

I had only been in 2 different clans but we did it with my cousins so it was fun. And no one boss around anyone. Eventually we all lose interest in it and leave it. I think that's the most common thing to happen with clans.
