Seems like RTS fans may be left wanting but for most it'll still be an enjoyable experience. But then again,
RTS fans have been left wanting for a long time. The genre is so fractured into other the few hold-outs - Starcraft, Age of Empires - or the spin-off genres like MOBAs or they've been poached by grand strategy (Paradox) or wargames (Slitherine).

Halo Wars 2 is a really unusual game in the sense that it's a new game in the old style of RTS, which don't come around much these days
