Building a PC for game at $1000?

Hello,
I am not sure I will upgrade my PC at this time but maybe I will do in next months when I need a power PC for games, video and accessing graphics. What would you recommend for a PC at $1000?
What CPU, RAM, GPU, Disk..etc?
Please don't forget to note price beside each device.

Wow, you are really investing in a good PC. You are lucky if you can afford to build a PC of 1000 dollars.
