I use Wordpress for a lot of sites also but I really hope they add more features in later version for people who want to use it more like a CMS. Like the ability to sort pages in more advanced ways.

Of course HTML and CSS are the essential ones (although not really programming languages) but before you start with Rails, PHP, Javascript, etc. I would highly suggest learning a general purpose programming language like C/C++ first. There are some concepts that will be much easier to learn this...

I'm a big fan of myBB, although I've also tried phpBB and SMF. I've yet to try any paid forum software.

I'm pretty busy with school, so I probably won't pick up the game until I'm on Winter break. Hopefully they drop the price a few bucks by then, let me know how the game is!
