Any good MoP private server?

I'm currently playing on Frostwolf, one of Warmane's realm. It's a 5.4.8 Mist of Pandaria expansion and it's kind of decent. I have encountered a few minor bugs on quests. One thing I hate though is that some of the Burning Crusade and pre-BC dungeons are locked. Probably not well-scripted. But they have a good working Dungeon and Raid Finder.

If you have some recommendations, I'd love to check them out. Cheers!

I don't really personally play on any private servers because I prefer the functionality of their official ones. I did however absolutely love playing the MoP expansion. Beautiful zones and environment with great dungeons, raids, and other quests.

I'd recommend that you check out these two:

They are supposed to be the best out there when it comes to MoP private servers. Hope that they fit what you're looking for and enjoy playing ;)

Warmane is probably about as good as you're going to get if you're looking for a retail like experience. There's not a high demand for current/close to retail version servers, so you're not going to find very many.

I wish Nost. didn't shut down. :(

Yeah. That is also what I like about Mist of Pandaria. I was even in Northrend and am loving the view and the zones. Specially the mobs too. I can't wait to go to Pandaria.

Thanks for recommending those. I have actually checked them out myself and heard a lot of about them at Reddit. I mostly hear negative reviews though. Seems like Reddit is built for those kinds of reviews. >.> I forgot which one has the least population though. And I heard that tauriwow has a lot of hungarian players specially if you play solo and talk in world or general, you'd be flooded with hungarian dudes. XD

Man, if I was going to go to a private server, it sure wouldn't be to play MoP. You can still play that on retail.

What I really want to play is the original game and original TBC (maybe up to early WotLK). I so wish Blizz would do legacy. I'd be there in a heartbeat.

I just read that another private server got shut down in just a few hours after it opened its doors... so probably not the best idea.

They won't I guess. I saw the Blizzcon QnA and a fan asked about a legacy server. They said it's probably not happening. They know that if they release a legacy server specially the nostalgic TBC, their latest expansion will have less players and it won't sell that much I guess.

Also, did you hear about Blizz suing and destroying other TBC private servers because they have so many players online?

I remember hearing about them suing someone ages ago, but that person was making a profit. These fan servers and not for profit. Still, they get shut down, and these days, it seems to be happening even more quickly.

The Nostalrius group was the big story. They had Classic and were about to open up a TBC one, I believe. They gave their code to another fan site, but I heard that one got shut down too.

I really don't understand why Blizz won't just do it. If the old game ends up being more popular, go back to making money off that.

Sure is happening a lot recently. Yup. Haven't played on Nostalrius but there was a huge fuzz about it. Yeah me too, probably Blizzard is worried about their sales. Or the popularity that a legacy server can bring because most WoW players has had enough of these patches. Although it's great to have new updates and expansions, but for me, it's kind of luring out to the real lores of Warcraft.

Well, I understand why they take them down. They have to protect what's theirs. It is their intellectual property after all, even if they don't support it any longer.

I just wish they'd find a good compromise if they don't want to host legacy themselves. Why not at least look at some options? Maybe they could sell one of these sites a limited license or something?
