I almost play games on my PC and not tried xbox but I saw more people using xbox to play games and seem it has better experience to play games on xbox?

My question is, PC or xbox? Which to get? and why?

If you already have an PC no need to get a new one unless you are severely depleted of gaming resources and/or need a new one.

Both are used for completely different functions as well. XBOX is designed as a way to improve your experience with a television by offering gaming, shows/netflix, and virtual reality in that type of setting.

Personal Computers (PC's) are great for general purposes, with some tuned for more specific uses (eg some for gaming, editing, coding, web/server hosting).

Honestly it comes down to what you want, and why you need it. No need to spend unnecessary money if you are going to essentially have some of the same functions on both with PC probably having a bigger advantage.

The better option from Xbox would probably be the PS4 if you want to actually play any good exclusive games. PS4 currently has the best variety... From the Uncharted, Bloodborne, The Last of Us, The Horizon Zero Dawn, ...

But I do agree with Jog. I don't understand why are you trying to purchase the Xbox? Just because people say it is fun playing on it? You should have a better reason before spending so much money on it... Since you will need to get the console and a few games. If you already have a nice gaming computer that runs the games you enjoy playing then there isn't that much point in buying the Xbox.

Computer gaming and the console kind is a bit different and some don't like a certain genre, like FPS on consoles because of harder aiming and so on. Overall, it is always your own choice though.

I favor PC a lot due to the ease of access to games (Steam) and the possibility of doing other activities like working and listening to music. Also, you can customize your PC setting to your liking and you're not bound to consoles restrictions. Still, if you wanted to invest in a console I'd recommend PS4 over Xbox. Better exclusives and overall quality.

PC has a lot more functionality and can do much more than a simple XBOX. However, it depends on what reason you are looking to buy the new hardware. If you want to try XBOX games and are lacking entertainment devices then maybe a XBOX would be the right choice.

Why bother getting a new console when you can simply play games on the PC? It's much more convenient that way and you don't have to do stuff like buy an entirely new console, buy a TV if you didn't have one already, then pay for the additional maintenance costs when you could simply buy the PC versions of the Xbox games you would like. Only thing you are missing out on are some exclusive games, and I don't even think they're worth getting the entire system for.

It depends on your requirements actually. If you have a need for gaming device purely for entertainment purpose, the XBox will suit you. However, if you are someone who needs to use a PC regularly, PC gaming may be the better choice. You may choose to upgrade your PC components to cater to games which you play. It is important to identify which game titles you are looking at as some games do not need PC with high end specs to run well.

If your going to want to play with friends or a ton of players then your going to want to go with Xbox. Pc gamers are spread thin between way to many games. Your lucky to have 30k players on COD on PC and you will have 500k+ on Xbox. Because console gamers are limited to what they can play and there are way more console players than PC players.

For now the pc has many more advantages than the consoles and there enters the xbox, the xbox is a very good console I do not deny it but in graphic quality is short and its platform of purchase is not one of the best and for that, i stay in pc for the moment.

I got your point. Thank you!

I understand this but there are some games that designed on XBOX but not for PC while I really like playing them.
I tried to search but they didn't offer a same game for PC.

Personal Computers (PC's) are great for general purposes, with some tuned for more specific uses (eg some for gaming, editing, coding, web/server hosting).

I want to ask your experience, if playing game on PC and Xbox then which one is more convenient and better?

I don't think that there is an easy answer. If you have a friend with a xbox give it a try first before buying one. There has always been people defending that game consoles are better then PC's and vice versa. The only real way to fin out which is better for you is to try out both systems. Since you already play games on a PC it´s a whole lot easier for you.

Depends on your preference, but if I were you I would choose the PC. If you can only afford a decent PC and not a gaming PC, then you might want to invest in an Xbox instead as it could be cheaper than a high-end PC and it's indeed good in gaming. But if you have the budget, go for a high-end custom PC. A really good PC would outrank any console in terms of graphics and overall game experience.

PC hands down dude. Offers more resources on a better Money to Experience ratio.

You are right, honestly I tried to play games on xbox and I feel more convenient when playing on PC.
Maybe I am so familiar to PC because I worked on it all the time.

I would say get the Xbox I'm not a big fan of PC gaming in general just because PC games have different system requirements so you have to make sure you have the latest specs. With the X-box you just buy the system and the games and play, it's nothing else needed to play.

Same here buddy. Always online. My PC is like my life nowadays haha. The versatility also speaks a great deal to me. Can multitask and customize my machine to my liking.

[QUOTE="arachnophobik, post: 81019, member: 9056"if you have the budget[/QUOTE]
Don't be daunted by expensive rigs. Check out YouTubers like RandomGamingInHD for budget part info. He focuses on used desktop parts, but there are bound to be others that discet your dollar's worth for consoles/laptops/handhelds.

From the info on his videos and the MANY commentors posting builds and prices, I snagged a used desktop with an early i5 processor, 4gb ram, intel 2000 (upgraded to a 1050ti), windows 10, and idk how much disk space for $200 off amazon. Ofc the 1050 was another hundred, used monitor for 50, but $350 gets the gaming and office work done.
So PC for versatility and the ability to upgrade parts without replacing the whole thing. Worthwhile investment-pc's dont just die as long as you clean/virus scan. Even then, you'd have some parts to makr another system with!

I play PC and PS4 for playing games. XBOX I did not try. But I think PS is the best option available if we talk about console outside PC. It has all the facility present for playing full strength of a play.

I have to go along with what some of the others have said. There's no point in buying either, just to buy them.

Personally, I prefer my PC. I can do a lot more with it than just gaming, but I like gaming on it as well.

My kiddo has consoles, if I want to play them. About the only time I do, is if she wants me to play a specific game with her that is only playable on Play Station. I've never had Xbox, so I can't tell you anything about it. I do like PS, if I'm going to play console games.

At this point of time, If you can skip the console purchase the better. Because PS new version may come in and so does XBox may launch that. So in such scenario that may turn out to be profitable. I have found that it'd not be easy to buy console as they tend to be single purchase. PC on the other hand can be clubbed with regular usage for office, home and school work. So I'd say that PC seems to be lot better better option in current scenario.
