Honestly I think the best thing about PC gaming is how unbelievably cheap you can get some games with the rise of so many bundle sites. I think most of my Steam game library is from bundles! It's really nice that it helps to raise money for various charities too of course.

Feel free to post any hot new bundles or newly launched bundle sites you know of and what you think of their offerings.

Right now I know Indie Gala has a set of war-themed games up and their horror game bundle will be going up in price soon. Groupees has a set of Medieval-themed games. And BundleStars has 7 steam games for just $2.

You forgot the big daddy of the scene, HumbleBundle :p

I also enjoy buying game bundles, it's a really good deal and you can occasionally discover some rare gems. Also you can get steam trading card drops from some games which further sweetens the deal! Quality-wise I feel that Humble and Bundlestars give the best bundles (with the least repeat offerings), followed by Indiegala, Groupees and Indieroyale.

The current humble bundle has a really good $1 tier (5 games) if you've yet to pick it up.

I bought one of the HumbleBundle's as it was very cheap but the game quality was super low. I might buy another bundle but it would have to feature better games. From now on, I'm just going to buy one game at a time. Though really losing a few dollars is not that bad, even if you only get one game out of a deal.

The ongoing Humble Bundle Indie 13 is an absolute steal with a nice amount of games fit for the Halloween atmosphere (Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs woo~)

Also you can get Teleglitch: Die More Edition for free off their website :D

I'd like to see more big-company bundles from HumbleBundle. While most games are pretty good indie games, I think they'd be more successful with raising money by teaming up with bigger game devs just because the appeal for getting a couple of really good games for a low price is better than getting some okay games, some pretty good games, and some crappy games for a low price. If HumbleBundle teamed up with Xbox Live and PSN, they could appeal to even more gamers, and raise even more money.

There's no incentive for Xbox or PSN to team up with Humble though, they would want full revenue from game sales, and their stores have a monopoly over users who are restricted to their consoles. This is not the case for PC with multiple platforms like Steam, Origin, GOG and Desura, hence Steam is willing to work with Humble to promote game bundles, with Humble taking a cut of the profits.

Humble bundle is great! Most games I got there was a bargain. I've referred it to my friends too and now every time we buy a bundle and it has a game we already own, we tell each other that we have extra copies and we give it to each other. It's a bargain and you're getting more that what you bargained for free. I've never tried Indie Gala before so I'll look that up right now and refer it to my friends if I end up liking it ^_^

Yeah, Humble Bundle is great. To be fair, I've never got past the PWYW tier, but, looking back at it now, I kind of regret it. Even with the top tier, you usually get an insane amount of games at the same price you would pay to get one of the included games. Plus, hey, charity!
I've heard that the Humble Monthly Bundles have been mixed bags so far, but we should have seen it coming. You're guaranteed to get at least one decent game, that's for sure, but filling too many of the available slots with indie games doesn't sound too appealing.
And speaking of indie games, I have heard about Bundlestars/Indiegala and similar websites, but their drought of titles from major software houses is what drove me away from them.

I think the best bundle I've used was Humble Bundle's Origin Bundle. So many great games in there including Dead Space and Battlefield 3.

I agree that Humble Bundle's offers are the best. They can save a lot of money on some of the indie games. There is also wide range of games. Some can be good and some can be odd to even play. I have good experience with two bundles. I may choose to download from steam sale which may come in few months.

Humble Bundle's is the best for buying games as one big bundle at an very low cost. And what I like about it it's all steam keys and some money goes to the good. Even if steam has an sale on humble bundle is still cheaper.

I check a couple times a month to see what they have on and I sometimes buy it or not

I am also a huge fan of bundles, Humble bundles and the ones Steam makes are also pretty darn good! There's nothing better than getting those couple of games you wanted for ages, at a really affordable price.

My favorite bundles that I've purchased in the past were one that had all of the old Fallout games WITH all of the DLCs. I was in heaven when I found it. Another one was a while ago on the Steam sale - the remastered bundle of the Bioshock games. I really enjoyed the old Bioshock games so I was really excited for the remastered versions, which delivered the promised.

Humblebundle had this Freedom bundle thing once, it was amazingly good, I dont even remember the amount of games it had, it was around $30, the most expensive so far I think, but it had amazing titles like Overgrowth, Subnautica, Human Resource Machine, The Witness, System Shock (Classic, Enhanced edition and 2), Mini Metro, the Stanley Parable, Stardew Valley, Super Hexagon and there are a lot more that Im missing, I love bundles, even if they are old games, its always great to get your hands on new games and have more hours of fun!

I agree with you. The steam bundles are great, especially if you don't have a lot of games. It's also a pretty cool way to discover new games that you might end up liking and if you don't it's not that much of a loss.

Too bad those games (outside the main attraction games) are pretty crappy though. There's a reason they are included in bundles; nobody would pay for them on their own merit. As add-ons, they can be worth it I guess, but it's just filler while they are trying to sell you Dark Souls or something and they wanted to pad the package with extra games so you'll justify the price has being a "bundle".

It is pretty crazy how many games you could get for so cheap through sites like HumbleBundle. I remember buying bundles from that site even if I only needed one game from the pack, simply cause it was still cost efficient. Then I would just give out the keys for the other games to my friends who wanted them. Don't know how their system works so that it allows them to give games at such a discount, but hey I ain't complaining.

When I used to be really into gaming in high school, I always kept a close eye on the Humble Bundles. I couldn't believe some of the deals you could get through them, not to mention a lot times they donated to good causes, too. I picked up an indie game pack containing Fez and handful of other unique little games way back when. I don't keep up with Humble Bundles anymore, but I'm glad they give PC gamers an opportunity to get great deals on packages of games!

Oh, aye bundles are a great way to get games cheap. I remember buying the Left 4 dead bundle and paying like 7 dollars for all the games. It's a win-win because the companies make some money from old games and the gamers get games real cheap.

Humble Bundle ruined me... in a good way. First there were a few bundle every months, with a lot of pretty well known good indie titles. Then IndieGala came, then IndieRoyale, then IndieGogo, then Indie Whatever.... lots and lots of bundle, and I bought almost all of them building up a massive backlog of unknown games.
Recently I even subscribed to the Humble Monthly.... it's been great so far, actually.

I know I have too much stuff to play, but I can't help it... I'm a collector.

I was the same way! "$1 for 15 games! What a deal!!" Those dollars add up quick though cause there's so many bundles available from all those sites. I've have to stop and ask myself do I really need these games? Is there at least one game in the bundle that I'm dying to try? If not I have to pass or else I'll just have a huge list of games in my Steam library that I'll never play. Humble Bundle is like an exception though because they have great bundles that support great causes. So even if I don't play the games my money wasn't wasted.
