What was the first PC game you ever played?

Probably the first one I played alone without the help of anyone else was "Day of the Tentacle", one of those point and click story rpg games but it was pretty immersive and funny at times. They did a remaster of the game as well if anyone wants to try it and the game does have early 90s...

    Seems my laptop is melting!

Dam sorry to hear that, this is why you need to get a cooling pad and regularly blow out dust from the vents on a gaming or even a high performance laptop. Maintained my laptop with a cooling pad and seasonal vent dusting, thing lasted me for about 10 years before I decided it was time to retire...

    Generic Keyboards or Mechanical Keyboards

For the best feel and sound, blue switch mechanical keyboards are the best but they come at a price being 10x more than a generic keyboard. Both get the job done but if you have the extra cash and game a lot with your keyboard, investing in a quality mechanical keyboards is worth it to improve...

Do you still use PC for playing games?

I'm between my PS4 and PC, with the steam sales on PC, there's definitely no reason to pick up a game you've been wanting to get especially if it's 80% off and on my PS4, there are just so many games that I've yet to complete. Consoles will come and go but PC gaming will always be around just...

    Overwatch

It's so easy to pick but getting off is the hard part. It keeps you hooked until it's 3am and you've forgotten to eat your dinner and content just keeps getting dished out by Blizzard. I'd say the game has another 5 years ahead until it dies down and another installment or a sequel/expansion...

What Series Do You Think Would Make a Good MMO?

I'd like to try that out after the flop of APB was, which didn't really create a cop vs gangs type of gameplay. The store available and the different kind of events that could take place would be enough to make anyone want to at least try out of the mmo if one ever came out.

    DC Universe Online

I've been playing it on and off again when I needed to itch that superhero gaming niche, same with Marvel heroes but DCUO feels more of an mmo than marvel heroes does. It's interesting and keeps you hooked for a few days as long as you don't get stuck and you can really customize your own...

    PlayStation 4 Rumors

PS4 has been out for a while, I don't think this thread is relevant anymore and everyone's been happy with Sony since, well mostly everyone. I'd like to know what the next innovation for the next generation of consoles will be but with PS4 pro out, feels like that will extend the life of the PS4...

    Wired or wireless controller?

Wireless for consoles for sure, after using a ps3 and ps4, I can't see myself going back to a wired controller on my consoles. However on PC, since I'm already quite close to my computer, a wired controller works fine since it won't get snagged.

    Is a 3.6Ghz with 4 Cores good?

That will be a good CPU, but you also need sufficient ram, and a decent video card. the CPU is one piece that you'll need to have at above average but won't affect your gameplay as much as a top tier video card would.

    Video Card

Got myself a Gigabyte R9 280x which still runs great today, used to get mid their cards but this time wanted to go for something higher and I'm glad I did, still holds up today and probably will for a few more years. I'm not getting the best settings at 100fps but high to ultra at 60 fps on a...

    Laptops or Desktops for gaming?

Hands down if you're not moving the machine around, get a gaming desktop. Much cheaper and you have the ability to upgrade in the future. In the past spent over $1000 for a laptop that could play games on medium but quickly became obsolete. After that built myself a gaming desktop for $800 that...

    PlayStation

On the PS4 at the moment, I'm loving Dragonball Xenoverse 2 and Persona 5, haven't beat both games and have had them for a bit but they sure pass the time fast. Xenoverse 2 just had another update released which is always nice to see and the playerbase is still quite large and very much alive if...

PS4 What other APPS do you use on your PS4?

Pretty much netflix, youtube and spotify. Other than those apps, haven't been interested in any of the other apps they had to offer on the consoles. I've installed twitch on it but since I have a laptop hooked up to the same TV, I prefer to use twitch on the browser of my laptop to watch on my TV.

    PS3 super slim

Had a ps3 superslim to replace my failing launch ps3 fatboy, worked but was much slower than any of the other ps3 versions. Managed to get me by until I picked up a ps4 and since then haven't really touched the superslim, I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't work to be honest. If you're...

Final Fantasy VII Remake for PS4

Definitely going to buy it, hope it makes up for the shortcomings of FFXV which I put 120 hours into hoping to get the best experience but felt like it was a mediocre game. Comparing it to Persona 5 that I'm currently playing, FFXV felt more rushed and only half polished for those that have...

    Complaints about the PS3?

The Price at launch day! I remember picking one up from Costco for about $900 but it came with the works, the original fatboy console with 2 games, an extra controller, a blu-ray movie and even the remote control for the ps3 which I lost and never found but to be fair I never used it. Now...

What was your first Playstation console that you bought

Playstation 1 and eventually modded it! I remember the days of going down to rent a ps1 game and then making a copy of it on my computer only to add it to my "bootleg" ps1 collection, those were the pirate days. Eventually the console crapped out and got a psx just to play some of my legit ps1...

    PS4 Bloodborne

Been playing souls games since demon souls and Bloodbourne felt the same, but different compared to the dark soul series, of course I got hooked on dark souls 3 after. However, it's something worth getting into just to try out the new weapon mechanics and bosses. Definitely a game that you'll...

    Favourite Ps3 game?

My favorite PS3 game that was short lived was Lost Planet 2, played the whole campaign co-op with a friend and it may have lasted 8 hours, but it sure was a blast, from the boss battles to the combo attacks with a friend for certain weapons. They definitely had something going with their co-op...
