What has the best game of 2017 been so far?

After 2016 was such an amazing year for games, 2017 seems to have tailed off a bit. But I could have been completely wrong! What have I missed? I've really enjoyed Prey so far this year, but apart from that nothing stands out.

Persona 5, And Resident Evil 7 have my vote.
Though i think Super Mario Odyssey will take the cake lol.

Injustice 2 was good, but I think that there will be more good games, I am waiting for the Spiderman game, Star Wars Battlefront 2, andd Super Mario Odyssey, I think that these three games will be that best of 2017.

Splatoon 2! It's so much fun playing with the squids and splatting ink everywhere. It's the best sort of shooter for me because it actually weights the objective higher than the frags which forces you to either use teamwork or lose. Too many games are designed for you to be a one man army and it's gotten stale.

I agree with Thart, Resident evil with it's seventh instalment Biohazard has given us hope that we'll see better games this year as well. And now now, did Thart mentioned that Super Mario Odyssey would take the cake with quite a few many good laughters! Well, I guess it will share it's cake with Resident Evil. There'll be no harm in that, will there be? And it many even leave the cherries for the Persona 5. I hope that September and Fall will change everything. I hope I'm right. Can't say it loud though. (*_*)

I haven't played a lot of new games (I usually wait for sales, and it take a few years) but from what I can tell I can say that 2017 is been a good year so far for gaming.
On AAA titles, Nier: Automata and Prey are both pretty good. Different genres, different gameplay... same awesomeness.
On a indie title, as a big Dark Souls fan, I must say that the game that looks like a 2d version of it (Hollow Knight) is absolutely amazing.
Or for console... Breath of the Wild.
