It's getting to the point where I use my phone not only from calls and texts, but I also browse the web a TON on it. So much that I'm considering getting rid of my desktop. Is this something you've noticed as well, or am I just strange?

I usually only use my desktop to go on the internet, I only use my phone if I need to doing something important and I am away from home.

It won't be long till the phone becomes a PC or gives way to something that is a portable PC. But I think were a little ways from phones replacing out internet.

My phone is my 2nd pc.
The money i spent on it meant i made sure it does everything i want it to do and more

You should get the Samsung galaxy note, it has a HUGE screen.

I use my phone all the time too. :O I use my phone to browse about the same amount as I do my laptop. It's quicker and easier to just open Opera Mini browser on my phone than it is to start up my laptop. I do use my laptop quite a lot as well, though.

I too use to browse net in my phone. But i don't get the experience of the pc in my mobile. So like to stick with my desktop for browsing.

I used to be like you a lot. I used solely my phone pretty much.

But I just bought a new laptop so I use my phone less and less, just for on the go stuff and twitter.

Remember, your Desktop can do a million more things than any Smartphone can. I wouldn't get rid of your Desktop.

But slowly tablets and phones are taking place of computers for every day needs. If you invest in say a Nexus 10 or Nexus 7, and a keyboard maybe a mouse. You can have a super portable computer for typing papers, internet, or anything an average computer user would do.

I could never use my phone for the internet as it is too small and awkward to use i love my desktop and i am used to using a mouse and keyboard

I find that if I am not near to a computer I will use my phone or my tablet a way lot more to get onto a web browser

I wouldn't say it is so bad that I would consider getting rid of my laptop or desktop as I only use it when I am not near either of those.

I didn't think I used my laptop much but when It got sent out for repairs I missed it so much and wish that I had it. I just got it back today and so glad its back.. I use my Phone for meany thing mainly twitter and txting ppl, I hardly call people anymore. but would never get rid of my laptop.

I would get rid of all my portable devices. I use my desktops far to often for my servers and coding purposes.

I use my phone for about 25% of my surfing now but won't get rid of the desktop yet... small screen hurts my eyes after a while 8(
