Disney Infinity

So I got my daughter Disney Infinity for Christmas this year because we both like Disney stuff, she alwayd demands to stop at the display when we are in stores, and it seemed like something fun we could do together.

The other day we finally got around to firing it up for the first time, and it is actually pretty fun. The story mode is like most other licensed games and just kind of okay. But the toybox mode where everyone can play user created stuff together is goddamn magical.

Anyone else have Disney Infinity?

I haven't tried Disney Infinity but I've seen it everywhere in the electronics section of department stores! It looks like a pretty innovative idea but I'm still not sure how it works. You buy different characters, but does each character's story line take place in the same universe? What happens when you start playing with multiple characters? Can you play the story mode co-operatively with different characters?

I remember writing an article about this when it was coming out. Sadly I have yet to play the game my self to date.

The story mode comes with playset pieces and not the character pieces themselves, and only characters who exist in the same world can actually play through the story mode together.

But there is also the toy box mode, and that is where any characters purchased can interact. It is largely a sandbox where you can create whatever levels you want, and well as play other user created levels. So my Spider-man and my daughter's Elsa can go on adventures together and such.
