SPIRIT BREAKER
dota 2 spirit main.jpg

By far my favorite hero is Spirit Breaker

dota 2 spirit 2.jpg

Spirit Breaker Starts off with very high armor making him a great beginning game Hero. Although he is a melee hero he can still be strong enough that most harassing heroes have very little effect on his ability to level up.

dota 2 spirit.png

Once he has unlocked his Ultimate Skill its game over for any low health enemy anywhere on the map. Spirit breaker has the ability to charge any enemy on the map
no matter where they are. Heros or creeps neither one is safe. To be completely effective as a teams asset it is best to have a support hero on your team who wards everything. The more Spirit Breaker can see the better he can initiate stun and hold enemies until the rest of the team arrives.

dota 2 spirit charge.jpg

Nothing stops Spirits charges except a well foreseen disabler spell or a counter stun by the enemy. But trees, Cliffs water or any other environmental elements do not stop his charge.

dota 2 spirit charge 2.jpg

Your teammates can easily see who you are charging by the symbol that appears over the head of the enemy you are charging.

dota spirit symbol of charge.jpg

Items I use, I get boots is up to the player I get boots that depend on my enemy, My main items of choice are (after my boots) Uen, Mask of Madness, Blade Mail, Black King bar, then from there its a whatever you want. Sometimes I go for Divine just to be a poop sack killer beast if the enemy cant kill me. But know a good Spirit player is a surprising asset because just as you think you are safe and you have the kill on one of his teammates, BOOOOM your stunned, your slammed, your life is being drained by his Urn and the speed of his stunning attacks while under the protection of BkB there is no escape from his wrath.

Wow, very nice outline of the hero. Yeah spirit breaker is great fun in unorganized pubs, but he rarely see competitive play because he doesn't fare so well against coordinated teams that stick together.

My favorite hero is Rubick, since you can still almost any hero ability if gives you a lot of room to make creative plays and combos.

My favourite hero has been Zeus since the days of DotA Allstars, probably because of his ability to steal kills from anywhere on the map :D on a more serious note, I've always liked the incredible damage potential of the hero. If you manage to get a few kills early on allowing you to snowball out of control, you can really decimate entire teams with his damage output. Even though I've transitioned into more of a support player instead of a mid player lately, Zeus is still the hero I like to play the most (and he can actually work as a decent support, although it can be difficult convincing other players of pubs of that fact). He's also getting picked up more in competitive play nowadays, which is always fun to see - he still desperately needs a model rework though, haha!

Probably the most famous Zeus player is Merlini, here is a good video of him playing with the hero and explaining what kind of hero he is:

My favourite item build is the old school build - Bottle, Arcane Boots, Aghanim's Scepter, Refresher Orb. However, lately I usually go for a Blink Dagger or a Eul's Scepter as my first item, because it can be tough for Zeus to actually catch up to enemy heroes - these two items give you the opportunity to get in range to actually do some damage.

Yea Blink dagger HAHA, Played a game last night Zeus was on our team, he was sitting right in the forrest, as we got into the team fight he hit his first skill a couple times, then blinked in during the end of the fight, hit his first and second skill on the hero that had the most health then hit his ulti refresher and ulti killed all 5 of them. Talk about the Killsteal God.

Haha yeah, it's incredibly satisfying to wipe out entire teams with a Zeus ulti. It takes a while to farm up but if you manage to get Aghanim's Scepter, Refresher Orb and Veil of Discord you can really turn fights around incredibly quickly, and you don't even have to be in close range. That's actually another reason why Blink Dagger (and Force Staff) are so good on Zeus - it allows you to position yourself well when a big team fight breaks out.

I actually also really like Naga Siren, even though most people find her incredibly boring. Your farming potential is just insane once you get a Radiance and you can keep lanes pushed out really well too. It takes a while before she really becomes useful though, which is why she can be difficult to play in pubs - you'll have to convince your teammates to protect you while you farm up that Radiance, haha.

It's been a while since I've played so there's probably some new ones I don't know about. Some of my favorites that I was always really good with though was Bounty Hunter, Bloodseeker, and Nerubian Weaver, but I also really liked Broodmother, Clinkz, Drow Ranger, Morphling, and Syllabear...

Propably this Magnus play. Absolutely insane what he's doing there. Skewer Void into position, RP, use Refresher, then Force Staff and skewer to catch Jakiro too, and another RP to finish it off.

Abaddon and CM are my 2 most played heroes, but a few of my other favourites would be Zeus, Necro, Warlock, Treant and Slark. I used to only play support but recently started carrying a lot which causes me to try out a lot more heroes I wouldn't otherwise pick.

My favorite hero is rubick for sure. The ability to have any other ability is quite awesome in my opinion.
Telekinesis (quite an underrated skill IMO) has a sick range, if you think about it.
He can be a position 5 support, because he doesn't require a lot of farm, and still contribute a lot to ganks.
All he needs is a blink dagger or force staff for positioning.
Rest is pure skill.

I hate rubick. I will have to say in order to play Rubick well you must know your enemies heros so when you steal thier skills you can effectively play the heros. I hate when he steals my skills and uses them against me.

Haha. You just need presence of mind and positioning skills. For example, Its fun stealing dp's ulti and then stealing DK's ulti :p (I did that today, although you need a scepter for that)
I must say its one of the most entertaining and fun to play hero.

I actually enjoy playing Rubick as well, although I think he is a difficult hero to play well. A lot depends on your positioning since he is quite squishy, so until you get a Force Staff or Blink you really need to be aware of where the enemy heroes are positioned in relation to you - otherwise you will get killed really fast. What I like about him is that his ultimate allows you to pull off huge plays that can straight up win fights (and games) for your team, the most famous example being Dendi's Rubick play against iG at TI2:

.

I agree that Telekinesis is an underrated ability, especially at low levels it's great for securing kills (for example in a trilane).

He is also very stressful to play against if you play a hero that has a big ulti, since you always need to be mindful of the fact that Rubick can steal it - for example, casting a Black Hole with Enigma can really backfire if you don't manage to catch Rubick inside of it. One of my most played heroes is Witch Doctor and going up against a good Rubick is just terrible, since it really diminishes the use you can get out of your ultimate.

I love Tusk but hes not good in the current meta so my 2nd favorite would be viper because if you spam his nuke and his ulti with ag's then hes really annoying

Though I no longer play, DotA, my favorite hero was earthshaker. His kit is just so game changing. :)

I just recently started playing this again after a few months hiatus (or years actually, I'm not too sure) so here goes.
My favorite heroes are Enchantress, Rylai Crestfall (simply called the Crystal Maiden in newer versions of the game, for those who didn't know) and Lina Inverse. I also like Nature's Prophet because he's excellent when it comes to pushing, but he's not one of my faves because he really does fall flat when it comes to killing, and I don't like that. Anyway yes, as you may have noticed by now, I'm a ranged attacker kind of guy who prefers magic/intelligence type heroes.

As simple as this question is, it is also a difficult question to answer. I have favorite heroes for different situations. I never pick first. I consider the enemy line up, and ours. If the team are ranged, nuker types, I go with Abaddon. He's quite useful in a lot of situations, and only a few people understand what this hero can do. It's a really a mind game with Abaddon. If you attack him while apotic shield is active, it will only return damage to you. If you wont attack him however, he'll kill everyone in the clash, but of course it can only happen in the hands of the right player who really knows this hero's potential and how to build this hero's items. When I see that there aren't too many disablers in the enemy line, up and when our team needs a tank, I go with this guy. I go with sven when I'm up against nukers and weaker and unimpressive tanks.

When I'm up against tanks, like axe for example, I go with the Juggernaut. No matter how tough the tank becomes in the long game, it wouldn't matter against an aghanim enhanced omnislash. So by effectively taking out the enemy team's tanks with the omnislash quickly, the clash will always be in your team's advantage. The others will just run away without the tank. By the way, the Phantom Assassin sucks against the Juggernaut. It's like Juggernaut is her counter. Up against a pro PA? The solution is simply blademail and healing ward. There's no version of this battle where a PA can come on top of this duel.

When I'm just looking to have fun, I use stone spirit. I really love throwing team mates into the enemy fountain.

Razor's the one for me. All his skills are notable and they all work with each other. Get those last-hits with Plasma Field while easily denying your own creeps. Got a paper carry on the other team? Go invis, use Static Link, watch him struggle and finish him off with your insane stolen DPS. Unstable Current lets you easily chase any fleeing hero, while debuffing anyone foolish enough to attack you in the first place. The enemy team's giving you a rough time? BOOM Eye of the Storm and watch them run away. After that, you just chase them. Easy as pie.

She's not always a good pick, but my favourite always will be Broodmother, mainly for her backstory.

Yeah, i know not everyone cares about it, but i do.
Listen to this: She lives in a mountain, inside a cave, next to a powerful wizard. Warriors and wannabe heroes come almost every day looking for the wizard and his treasure, and, of course, they run through her cave, killing her spiderlings, her children. She's sick of it, so she goes to the allmighty powerful wizard and murders him. DONE.

But now, people hear about the dead wizard. So, the treasure is unprotected!!
So now even MORE heroes and knights come waddling through her cave. So she kills them. She looks at her remaining children and decides that's enough death for her family.

She exits her cave, and promises to kill EVERY SINGLE adventurer wannabe in the world, and then, return to her home.

I just love that in a world of gods, demigods and archdemons from other dimensions with entire armies ready to attack, this hero is just a big mom spider sick of people entering her house.

The only problem is that I feel every patch they increase the gold and EXP her spiderling give when they are killed, so if the enemy has a KOTL or earthshaker or even a hero with cleave, you are giving them a BIG gold lead. If you are not careful with your children, that is. :p

My favorite is Tiny, I'm a support type of player, I always do the Blink + Avalanche + Toss Combo or Blink + Toss enemy to my teammates or Toss + Earthshaker to the enemies. It's a fun hero to use and easy, since his other two skills are passive.

I would go with Zeus. The level of power and the skills just awesome. And then there are many characters which i loved over the years. But I come back to Rubick and Zeus every now and then. I think these must be all time favorite for me.
