My grannies came over for the holiday and they love playing games too.I will love to know if there are games that are quite good for them apart from the usual pc games.

Could you recommend games good enough for the grannies.

If you have tablet or smartphone then give them Angry birds. The reason for that game is it will make them think even in this age. This reduces their capacity to have memory loss. Instead they will be forced to think. And that habit is a good one for gaming at any age. So find puzzles and the simple fun games like Angry birds, spirits, tower defense games etc.

Well, my grandmother absolutely loves puzzle games and card ones. So, try to find some solitaire games on Google Store app. You have really plenty that have quite challenging modes.

Another one that they could try is Candy Crush. I think that games like that have no real age limit. You can play it if you are 5 or 80 years old. It doesn't matter. Just make sure that you first explain how the game works so they won't get confused :)

I think puzzle games like Candy Crush, Farm Heroes, Bejeweled are best for them. That's why my aunt usually plays. There is also another game called Just Follow. My aunt equally likes games where she has to test her mathematical skills and quizzes. I think it depends on the person also.

My mother in law who is 85 years old plays Mahjong game offline, I downloaded into her PC and her smartphone. She also likes Bejeweled and Solitaire games. Some games that shoot to get pass to another level- that is not her cup of tea.

Just go with puzzle or card games, they're more likely to try it out if they're already familiar with the mechanics. Keep in mind that most elders despise technology because it feels like sorcery to them, since it's so different from their everyday life, so make them try things that might feel familiar. Mobile games have extremely intuitive controls, as you literally just have to tap on the screen to play, which is better than any mouse or controller for them.

I think games for tiny tots would also be loved by oldies. Games that are easy to pick up and play. Haha! Fruit Ninja is a fun game that could be enjoyed by anybody. It's simple and addicting. All you do is swipe your finger to slice some fruits.

Aside from fruit ninja, talking Tom and Talking Angela could keep them busy for hours. Aside from candy crush, Bubble Witch Saga is also a pretty decent match 3 puzzle game that offers endless levels of fun.

You can also try to make them play diving games that controlled using the gyroscope of the phone. There are a lot of games out there the Play Store the aged would love.

2048game could be a good choice, at least for trying. Also Candy Crush as people said is widely played by all ages... What about some trivia games? As Who Wants to Be a Millionaire or Triviador (which have Facebook and regular web versions). Try to find digital boardgames they used to play when younger, Chess, checkers, Go (Asiatic game), etc.

It's important to say that is never too late for learning something new!
Try Tekken haha.

card solitaire was my favorite back then until now. It was puzzle game and entertaining when you figure out things. The more you play, the more you catch the pattern of winning, but the risk sometimes worth winning. I remember, I played almost 15 hours to figure out how to win against computer. Computer opponent is a little bit a headache because it can easily figure out your moves but limited.

Now, my father getting addicted also with the game. He even exceeds me regarding with the time play. though, I would not prefer to play such long hours.

It depends on what she likes, of course, but maybe games like Solitaire or Sudoku? Or Two Dots?
There's this other game I have called Pocket Frogs, where you collect & breed & hatch different types of frogs. I like it because it's kind of calm and peaceful (especially the sound effects). But not everyone likes frogs, lol.

I was curious to see your post...games for a granny? Well, this is difficult to choose, why don't you ask her directly what she likes to play, in this way you will have time to buy or download for free the game she desires to play. It is difficult to choose for her, every person has a taste is not the age what really counts in playing a game!
