The Planet Corona won it’s independence from the Techno Union, after many decades of forced labor, and the overuse of the planet's rich resources, by the Union. After 85 years of freedom, the planet sparked into a civil war between the factions of The Syndicate States of Corona, and The United Union Conglomerate. The SSC’s (Syndicate States of Corona) economy profited mainly off of the trade and shipment of a mineral known Dixtronium, or nicknamed “Dixie” for short. This mineral was used to power lower tech ships incapable of light speed travel, such as basic construction vessels, or local hovercraft. Because of the high quantity of this mineral in the southern hemisphere of Corona, this region of the planet was given the nickname “Dixieland” in reference to Dixtronium, that region's main export. Shortly before the outbreak of the Corona Civil War, UUC (United Union Conglomerate) scientists discovered that Dixtronium causes harmful effects when exposed to living organisms for long periods of time. After this discovery, the UUC, the current governing force of Corona, banned all distribution of “Dixie”. After the laws banning “Dixie” took effects, it created a large economic gap between the Southern Hemisphere “Dixieland”, and Northern Hemisphere’s of the planet, because of this, riots and extremist groups rapidly formed in the southern portion of Corona, protesting the banning of the mineral, claiming that the harmful effects were simply fabricated lies by the government, in order to control the once richer southern portion of Corona. After a year of protests and riots, George Reed Rambles, resident of “Dixieland”, and former owner of Rambles Industries, one of the leading exporters in Dixtronium, organized The Syndicate States of Corona, a united group of the smaller regions within the southern hemisphere.

Shortly after it’s creation, the SSC declared independence from the UUC, with George Rambles as their President, the UUC responded by mobilizing all military units stationed in “Dixie Land”, and were ordered to enact martial law on the major cities. In the city of Golead, citizens, rioted, unarmed against the occupying UUC forces. In response, UUC soldiers were ordered to fire upon any SSC Supporters. This resulted in the “Golead Massacre” where UUC forces shot and killed over 3000 Golead citizens. After this, the SSC mobilized local militias, and supporters forming the First Syndicate Army. Two days later the UUC formally declared war on the Southern Hemisphere of Corona, now controlled by The Syndicate States of Corona. On the first battle for Corona, Syndicate Forces could be heard chanting the phrase “Remember Golead!” While charging towards UUC forces.

The FSA (First Syndicate Army) was much smaller, and under armed when compared to it’s opponent the UUA (United Union Army), however what it lacked in manpower, it gained in experience. Many members of the FSA, were military deserters or veterans of past conflicts, giving the FSA a strategic advantage when it came to military experience. Because of this, many times the Union Forces would find themselves outmaneuvered, or ambushed, causing heavy casualties in battle. Their quick thinking, and experience, won them back majority control of “Dixie Land” for the time being, until in the mid part of the war, they entered a stalemate at the North-South planetary border. Running low on supplies, and desperate for a solution to the war, the SSC sent out a message to the Republic, explaining the situation on the planet. Little did the SSC know, the UUC sent a similar message the same day.

The UUA (United Union Army) was very large, and diverse, as well as extremely well armed, mainly due to their profiting trade deals with the CIS (Confederacy of Independent Systems). Although the Union had a larger, more well armed force, it lacked extremely in strategic planning, when compared to the FSA. The majority of the UUA consisted of younger poorly trained men, due to the drafting laws enacted before the war broke out. Towards the beginning of the war, the UUA was losing, and turned to their best trade partner the CIS, who normally would trade ship parts with them, agreed to trade weapons for ship fuel, an abundant resource on the northern part of Corona. Although the UUC was not entirely fond of what the CIS stood for, or the fact that they were fighting the Republic, one of the largest governing forces in the galaxy, they remained very loyal trade partners, and never tried to sway Corona into the so called “Galactic Civil War” going on. Towards the mid part of the Corona Civil War, the UUC was pushed back by SSC forces, where they made a final stand on the North-South planetary boundary line, causing a military stalemate between the two forces. Running low on supplies, and desperate for a solution to the war, the UUC sent out a message to the Republic, explaining the situation on the planet. Little did the UUC know, the SSC sent a similar message the same day.

I read about half of it- but this gives a nice lore knowing for your trial event! Pretty much connects why they are in a civil war.

Thank you, I plan on making this a story influenced by the events that take place on the server.

Will it kinda be a series of events happening? Almost like a campaign?

Yep, and the events are not a guaranteed victory, I will be typing out and documenting the history of this planet, anytime an event takes place. Based on the servers actions Corona might in the future be an ally or an enemy, they might be run by the UUC or the SSA, it all depends on how the events play out.
