When did you start playing Minecraft?

I can't remember exactly when - and neither was the version -I started to get into this world, but I can say that compared to other games I've been playing over time, it's something very recent. :smiley:

I started to play in 2011 though I don't remember what version it was too. I played single player a lot and experience a lot of things for myself for the first time in the game. I could never forget the first night I spent in the game. It was horrifying and exciting at the same time since it felt like a horror game to me. Some days passed, I felt comfortable with the game and built my first house then tried exploring the islands.
After some months I got my ex-girlfriend to play with me on a public server. I've had so many unforgettable memories in Minecraft during my active days there and I wonder when I should play again since a lot has changed. It might never feel the same again.

I started my Minecraft adventures back in 2013. Oh, those were the days. It brings back so much nostalgia. Back when the community wasn't as immature and rude as it is now and back when Minecraft hadn't been defamed and lost its appeal as much as it has now in 2017.

Heh, I don't know. It just seems like a long time back in my action packed and intense gaming life. Besides, Minecraft does not have such a large time span itself so 4 years is enough on that scale to justify the usage of the word 'nostalgia'. At least in my books anyway.

Well, it's obvious that the concept of "nostalgia" will vary greatly considering some specifics aspects of each person, right? :smiley: For me, it wokrs very well. :wink:

The first time I played was when it was still in beta. I believe this was around 2010 or so? I really don't remember. It's crazy seeing how much the game has changed since then. I think the game really started to pick up in popularity when they first ported it to mobile.

Years ago, when the latest version was 1.6.4. That's the forge version I got, and I really haven't bothered playing a different version. It's a real shame how so many great mods from back then haven't been updated for the latest versions. That was the computer version though. I really started playing the Pocket Edition around the 4.0 update, which was way back in 2012. It amazes me to see how far the Pocket Edition has gone after all these years.

When I decide to make the comparisons in the category "evolution" I get quite surprised (positively speaking) how much this game has managed to evolve and renew itself. :smiley:

I honestly have no clue but it was YEARSSS ago.. my boyfriend was the first one that started playing it and got me involved in the game. He transferred his enthusiasm onto me then we, of course, had to play hours and hours together

reading these threads about Minecraft truly makes me want to go play some right now... but then I am too lazy to start a brand new world and completely rebuild everything. I am still curious about everything new that they've added and I haven't tried out yet!

I knew about minecraft only in 2015 and I did not began playing minecraft until the beginning of 2016. I don't spend a lot of time on this game as I also play other games as well, and I don't have a lot of time for gaming. However, when I play, I spend couple of hours on the game. It was my brother who introduced me to minecraft.

In my case, very recently I have to say! A friend of mine recommended it to me and I also checked out a few reviews in gaming youtube channels. I think I have a few months playing Minecraft. So far, I'm loving it. It's a great game, have no negative critics so far. I don't usually go with aother people recommendations, I'm a little reticent when it comes to games, but this time... I have no regrets !

I started playing a little over a year ago. I started on on Java and then I had my own Java server. And I have sense moved to Windows 10/PE and never looked back. I have a Windows 10 Realm and I can play Minecraft on my Windows 10 PC and go to the Doctors and play on the same Minecraft word on my Android phone. And pick up right where I left off. :smile:

I started playing Minecraft when I discovered it from my nephew. He was playing it and I got interested in it so I asked him what it was. He was playing on his phone here so there wasn't that much features yet.

I believe it was version 0.7.0 on pocket edition and I got hooked to the game pretty fast!

I started playing Minecraft in... 2012, was it? This was around the eras of beta 1.7 and 1.8, and I look back at those times with fond memories. I played on a survival server, prison server and various other servers, gaining staff ranks throughout as a dedicated player who put forth effort to help manage the server. I've moved away from that since, but I think a return to those halcyon days could be nice.

I remember, I did start playing this when I was a kid on my dad's tablet. My first impression about the game is, it is very amazing and awesome how I can create my own house and also how beautiful the views are which are probably made of pixels.

I first started playing Minecraft at a friend of mines house we where I think between 9-10 years of age I really liked that game so I bought after that day it was kinda pricey at that time as it was in its Prime it used to cost like 10$ this was the time when Minecraft was very very new in the stores and people really liked the hype was very huge.
