After decades adrift and declared "lost with all hands," the brave crew of the UNSC Spirit of Fire are mysteriously awoken above an ancient Forerunner haven known as the Ark. In Halo Wars 2, Captain Cutter and his crew will face one of humanity's most formidable threats yet: The Banished – a fierce and powerful Brute faction led by a cunning and lethal warrior known as Atriox.

Halo Wars 2 delivers real-time strategy at the speed of Halo combat. Get ready to lead armies of Spartans and other Halo fighting forces like Warthogs, Scorpions and exciting new units in a brutal war against a terrifying new enemy on the biggest Halo battlefield yet.

[doublepost=1509807206,1509806387][/doublepost]I don't even know where to begin. I was so excited to be able to play a new Halo Wars so many years after the original. I was extremely hyped when they released the E3 trailer last summer. I pre-ordered my copy of the deluxe edition and eagerly counted down the days until February 17th when I could pick up my copy. I fell in love with the campaign. The story was original, unique and sucked you into the story though you're left asking questions like if it's only one ship against an entire Banished force, how is it that you don't have greater restrictions on the unit count? Regardless, the multi-player game play at first was wonderful, if not confusing for the introduction of supplies and energy; whereas, in the past you only had to worry about having a reactor and supplies. I guess they viewed this as a method to counter people simply destroying people's reactors and crippling them.

Today, today...today, I played a game for an hour and a half in a 1v1 match. The match should have been over ages before then. I literally came up with multiple countering strategies to counter his units and all he did was spam the counter to those. I build tanks, he builds nothing but hunters. I build air, he builds reapers (anti-air unit), I try mixing my force, he builds three scarabs. I build three of my ultimate units and they get annihilated instantly.

I literally could not do enough damage, fast enough to kill his scarabs. I built anti-air to kill his engineers and he targeted them. I couldn't build all anti-air because they took away the capability to do the volley/barrage ability which the only way that anti-air could do damage to buildings and units. I literally was in a pickle because I had four bases, he had two; but, I was forced to spend more money on units to try to build them fast enough to counter.

So, I just wanted to let people know that while I'm a huge fan of the game and can see the potential, I'm forced to recognize my friend's comment, the game is good but broken.
