Honestly, I haven't noticed any tangible improvements as far as mental faculties are concerned, except for... multitasking, maybe? I've always been the analytical type, so maybe that's why any improvements have been negligible, or maybe that's because I've been playing since I was a kid, so I don't even remember how I acted like before gaming.

However, I definitely have a better mind-hand coordination now, and gaming has surely enhanced my hand independence (with small movements, at least).

I remember learning some English words from many video games including Counter-Strike when I was young.
I can't seem to remember a particular moment wherein I have learned something very important from a video game. My personal life has been affected in a way that I could handle stress from my responsibilities by playing video games.

Playing games has helped me intellectually.some games like chess is not for dunce.it helps me to be fast and swift in my daily doings.because the same way you maneuver to win is how we maneuver and manipulate life situations to suit us.

Gaming helps me in some ways and not so much in others... like, if I really enjoy a game, I can spend hours playing it, which makes me avoid doing another things just to stay there playing, which is not completely good. But on the other hand, I can share something with my family and friends, no matter our age, or lifestyle, also we can make friends with another people by making alliances or squads, you get focus, make strategy plans, so you are improving your skills. I know, the whole idea is not to be so intense about gaming, but I can't help it when I like one.

By the time I was crazy about playing games it affected my life in a very negative way. I got really bad records at school, I wasn't sleeping enough and my astigmatism got worst. Nowadays I have a healthy "relationship" with games and despite I don't really feel like it affects my personal life right now, I would have to say that it helps me relax and sometimes have an excuse to see my old friends for a playing session.

I think it has affected my life in many ways. Such as I have now some anti social effects on myself. I socialize less and also I choose whom to socialize with. So that can be bad in overall life. You can see that some of the time this means you have to take personal life seriously. That's the drawback of too much gaming.

Games affect me positively more than the bad effects.Through gaming I been able to think critically and logically.I love my Indian Rummy games,it boost my intelligence and gives room to brain stimulation and motivation.

Good games are good source of mental alertness and I love them.

I hate when my boyfriend plays phone games when he is with me, so it does affect me in some way. It's okey if we play together and bond with it but if it's just getting in the way I don't like it that much...

I can honestly say that gaming has not affected my personal life at all. That's just me though, I wouldn't say I am a casual player but I wouldn't say I am a hardcore gamer either, I'm right in the middle lol.

Gaming really does not affect my personal life in a good or bad way, but I do it at times and in a way where no one else is really involved. I do not game a whole lot, so it never interferes with my relationships. I guess you could say that it affects my personal life in a positive way because it calms me down and relaxes me, so I am probably more laid back person overall around others because of gaming.

Gaming takes up allot of my spare time. However, I do enjoy it but I can say it affects my personal life. I may need to re-consider how long I spend playing PC games everyday since it could be effecting my life.

I'd say gaming has alot of influence on my day to day life as I spend most if not all my free time playing any game I fancy at the time. Gaming is also a good way to connect with real friends who are far apart and those who you may not know but enjoy to talk with regardless.

I move every two to three years so I kinda ended up being a real introvert. I like to avoid making real life friends because I hate losing friends but on the internet as longs as you have a connection and so do they you'll never have to leave your friends forever.

I spend most my free time playing on my computer and PS4.. They really help me reduce a bit of stress when I play with friends, it always calms me at times. It's kinda something to take me away from actual in real life things you have to do.. Esspically school.

Gaming has enhanced my decision making skill in real life..I'm mostly swift at making decisions and they are mostly accurate or almost accurate because nobody is perfect. Gaming has also helped create a bonding factor with strangers especially when the interest of gaming is a mutual gaming genre

It has been very helpful in making me get lots of friends that I would never conceive to ever get in this life and they have all been wonderful fellows. The online game that I engage in is so exciting that quiting is so much impossible.

Well, sometimes it's good and sometimes it's bad. It's good whenever I feel that depression is devouring me little by little, gaming is always there to save me. Depression is not a simple matter, in fact there are many students like me who committed suicide because of it. Being a student really gives us a lot of works to do, school things to worry about and sometimes personal problems like financial shortage and family problems. Those students doesn't find a way on how to deal with their depression and the result is horrible, death. Good thing for me, I found a body that is always there for me whenever I need, and that is gaming. Games really changes my mood every time that I'm playing. Starting from a really irritated feeling of dumbness on what to do, to a really calm and straight thinking of how a quest or a mission should be done. Gaming is not a simple thing, only a small of the populace has the ability to communicate to game and play it. Not everyone can drive fast in NfS, can execute every mission in GTA and shoot accurately in CS. All the games that I have played and I am playing, they are all angel in disguise. They saved me and continue on saving me from the depths of death by keeping my mind determined to live with a reason, to play. That's the good one, but nothing is perfect in this world so there are also bad effects gaming has done to me. The first one, and I believe that majority is also experiencing this lack of social skills. I have learned to lock myself inside my room alone with no one around so today, I don't feel comfortable with many people around me. It's not that serious since I can live without talking to people around me as long as I am getting what is important for me. Next is some and a minor school problems. Off course there are some times that my play is really awesome, I am forgetting all of my school requirements that must be done and ended going to school with nothing to pass. I have been scolded for this and still, it still happens but very often. Even though there are bad sides, it cannot take the benefits that I am getting from the good side. And as a basic principle of economics, one must always choose the one with the larger benefit.
