This is actually called the "Tetris effect" it's a really curious effect that was named after (You guessed it) people started devoting so much time into it, they started reporting watching falling blocks on their everyday life, dreaming about tetris blocks and finding ways to fit 'tetrominos' in average places. Sort of spooky, but kinda cool at the same time if you ask me. It's a common effect if you spend way too much time playing one single video game, which is why we should always have limits and not outperform ourselves. :D
"TETRIS EFFECT" I came to know about this authentic term here only. It is nothing but a gaming overdose that corrupts the brain and we dream only about what has been hovering into the brain for the whole day. Some even say that gaming gives us an ability to control our dreams. But, I find this extremely unhealthy and detrimental for our mental and physical well being. A proper balance should always be made.

This is so true. There are times when the dreams appear so real. Our subconscious mind replicates the games in every form. The music, sound, graphics, background and the vision make us feel that we are playing the game for real. There are times when I take a few minutes to realize that I was dreaming about the game and not playing it for real.

When I had candy crush for the first time on my hand held device, I played past midnight. I was so addicted to the game that when I slept I was playing candy crush in my dream. I seem to be so addicted to the game. That was the only time when I dreamed about my game.

I love to play zombies video games like Resident Evil and, sometimes, I've dreamed about I'm living in an apocalyptic world and I have to survive (without guns because I'm always home) killing zombies and to keep my family safe from them. I usually use a bat or a knife to kill them. Sometimes I don't have any kind of weapon and I have to run because they're chasing me all the time.

I didn't know that was possible, but I should have known. I mean, everything is possible in our dreams :D. I have never dreamed about video games, no matter how obsessed I'm with some of them. Although, there was one time when I played Candy Crush for hours and when I went to sleep I couldn't, every time I closed my eyes I saw the screen with the candies falling and the bright colors. It wasn't funny because I really wanted to sleep at the time.

Well, it's quite rare to have the exact scenes of the game in a dream but it does happen sometimes. Forexample the last dream I had was like I was in a sims 2 game where I became the main character that I used all the time to flirt with girls. Actually, it was always my internal wish to flirt girls in real but doesn't feel appropriate to do in real life because I am an introvert and quite sober in real life so had to do it in sims and my dream.

This post is kind of funny. Anyway, to say the truth, I sometimes do dream about a games. It usually happens when am faced with a difficult situation that hooked me in the game. I dream about what I could have done and ways to overcome the situation and when I do those things, it kind of work.

Yeah, for a dream to be gaming themed, you must really be addicted to it at that specific point in time. I think for me it's because if I'm addicted to a game, I'll be playing it whenever I am awake, so my desire is filled. People who probably dream of games are the ones with tight schedules and can't play the game whenever they wanted. That's why it is leaking into their dreams.

There are times when I get so addicted to a particular game that I think of it even while sleeping . I can so well recall the background music and the graphics that it appears that I'm actually playing the game.

Do you also play games in your dreams?

Yes, this is practically me 100 percent, I do have the feelings of actually playing my game in my dreams. Sometimes, it comes good for me, as some of the difficult Stages that I'm finding hard to get through, the dream helps.

Not really. I don't wish to have my own game or develop one. I just enjoy playing new releases.
