I think this is far from being too violent. And in fact, I don't even think that gaming should have a meter for violence. I see games as works of art where the creators could fully express their ideas to satisfy a certain niche. If something needs to be done, let it be done even if it will offend some people, those who are offended aren't your target audience anyway. I've seen a lot more games that are way more violent than GTA V.

I think GTA V is very violent and I think it should only be played by adults. And I can't even count how many times I have heard kids playing the game. Parents just don't care anymore they buy their kids any game they want to keep them out of their hair.

Yeah, you right about that. Unfortunately, video games have always relied on violence and left the parents with logic and reason not buy their children the violent video games. It's why the ratings system exist. But, like you said, parents don't care anymore. I remember being a kid and only being allowed to play Mortal Kombat with my older cousin.

Even the title says about negative actions happening in the game(Grand Theft Auto).
So,how do you steal a walking car without violence.
GTA V is as violent as GTA IV or SA.The real life simulation would appear to make it more detailed.
This game was not designed for kids-they can be on their own risk.
Kids are the only influenced by the gameplay action.

I mean, the series was violent from the very start. Grand Theft Auto is Rockstar's game and they have meant it to be violent even before GTA V. I have to say it is as violent as the other games in the series, it is just that graphics are more developed now and the gore aspects of the game are more pronounced and detailed.

GTA titles are not meant to be played by kids anyway.

I think that they have a lot of violence, but it is fun, the people love to play this game because is a good entertainment and it is like the real life, I love the game saga and all the stories that it have, the violence is the last thing that I worry about because almost all the games nowadays are really violent.

No doubt,GTA v is quite violent, but i would happily shot an old woman in GTA,because its a game.I would not do same in real life because am mentally alright.ESRB rate this games,so i think GTA V is quiet violent but it has an age rating. If someone plays GTA V and finds it quite violent and intolerable,it is their fault, since the rating is there to be read.GTA is all about gang life and the police don't spare you for heavy crimes.

To all people that claim that the GTA series is violent they should play Hatred. That is pure uncalled for violence. As for GTA how else could you possibly portray gang wars or mob wars without violence? We live in the era of victimization and problematization of everything. It's just a video game.

Yes its to violent. But I like it like that. Everything has reason, And it depends on how you see it. If you see it from the other side it not really a violent game rather it's a survival game. There are lessons to be learned from there.
The main appeal of GTA is doing anything you want to civilians without fear of repercussions since you can either outrun or outgun the cops in the game. You can carjack, you can beat people up, you can kill them; it's a massive world and it's been filled with violence even in the days of Vice City, so much that parents had to do protests for the games to stop. They didn't stop then, and they won't stop now.

It's no secret GTA games have always had violence in them, and if someone doesn't like the game and finds it offensive, then they shouldn't buy it. I have read somwhere that Australian retailers have pulled of GTA from their shelves after the release, beacuse they were getting petitions from different groups that the game is offensive. If you like the game, buy it. End of story.

GTA and Rockstar have been this way for quite a long time. Even the concept of GTA came out when a developer was working on a car video game just because of a glitch went off the road. So it was the offense that made this open world beauty. As far as killing someone by snowballs is concerned it is that sort of nuances that make GTA the best game of our era. If I speak of the overall +18 content of the game then there are some places where it has gone over the line . Just by putting in sex scenes everywhere to make it look more mature is stupid indeed. Nevertheless, the game is a world in itself which cannot be matched by any other video game.
