I like PCs better because they can be the most powerful if invest a lot of money into them and I've just been using PCs for most of my life and I am very used to them.

You can get better performance on a cheaper desktop than an expensive laptop. The only key difference is mobility. If you build your PC well, you can spend only on certain components and get a relevant PC which can support newly released games for years to come.

Desktop for sure. Upgrading and repairing is very difficult to get done on a laptop, usually you have to stick with what you got there. But with a desktop Pc your options and choices when it comes to your performance are never limited. Another reason I would go with Desktop for gaming, especially for non-casual gamers is the more customizable cooling options. An avid gamer needs good cooling for sure.

PC means portable computer. Basically, there are made for low performance tasks such as working on Microsoft office or some accounting software, or anything which is simple as an operation. However, Desktop computer is a little bit stronger, and performance can be better. Also, you can boost your graphic card and your RAM just by opeing the unit processing computer. When I wanted to buy a computer, the agent told me : "PC are weak, they are made for simple work, do not install video games", and then I bought a desktop and it is so strong that I can play all games !

After using the Alienware from friend. I found out that desktop is lot cheaper for the same specs. And also you can have different specs changed easily. In case of the laptop changing things are a bit harder. Like changing screen etc. You can also change processor and graphics card. In case of laptop its lot harder.

Desktop is unbeatable in gaming. It also depends on your PC build of course and what game you're playing. Laptop overheats often, not to mention that almost all of the laptop doesn't have video card unless you got yourself a gaming laptop which costs a fortune. But new released laptops today can do fine at most of the games today.

I prefer playing games on a desktop, because except for being able to customize it, I also get a bigger screen and an actual keyboard, which is something I just love. I don't really like the laptop keyboards, even just for typing they're kind of... flat? Hard? I don't know how to describe it. I just prefer the keys on a regular, separate keyboard. I love how they sink in when I press them. :tearsofjoy: I know this sounds ridiculous, but the laptop keyboard just annoys me terribly, it can really affect my experience of a game. Plus I have bad eyesight so it's really easier for me to have a bigger screen and a laptop would have to be huge to match a big desktop screen.

Well, I feel more comfortable to play games on my laptop until he gets really hot and stops working. So, I prefer to play on my PC, because it is working great, is not stopping or slow down from time to time. The performance I get from my PC cannot be excelled by anything!

I prefer desktops over laptop when it comes to gaming. I have a bigger monitor when compared to a laptop (of course you can plug your laptop to a monitor for better viewing experience). And the performance of a desktop is much better compared to a laptop.

It is desktop always. Desktop has more options than a laptop. We can have bigger screen in desktop pc. Even we can attach extra hardwares to the pc for gaming. This can not be done in a laptop. Playing experience is better.

Desktop definitively, better setup and performance. Unfortunately, you can't carry your desktop everywhere, so for people like me, that have to be moving around, a laptop has to be. The bad part is the usually gaming consumes my laptop battery way much quicker, so I have to be plugged in to keep it up. Also the screen size is not my favorite one, but if I want to be playing, not much to choose from.

Personally i think the processor and video card of either the PC or Laptop is a major determinant here. Games generally would run better and faster on a system with high processor. A good PC with all the necessary accessories will provide a more suitable gaming platform than a Laptop considering the size of the monitor when compared to that of a Laptop.

Yes PC has its advantage is you can easily upgrade devices by investing money for them.
But I think Laptop is more convenient and flexible because you bring it to any places and playing game wherever you want.

I think PC is the better way to go, they have more advantages than a laptop does for
gaming, You can upgrade them as you need to to get to play newer games, you can also use them for anything you can a laptop for programs and such. Also if one thing goes out on your PC it is easier to fix the problem. However, the big advantage that a lap top as is that you can take it anywhere. But I find it harder to type on a laptop than a normal keyboard, (the mouse pad). The other thing I like about PC is you have more USB ports than I laptop. Right now I only have a lap top and I am constantly plugging and unplugging other devices to use.

True. I also have a gaming laptop but I kind of barely use it especially how I just game at one spot for the most part. I occasionally use my laptop for gaming on the road or on trips up to New Hampshire for example in a log cabin. They both have their highs and lows.

I much prefer desktop for gaming purposes. Much better capacity and the stability of the unit itself is a bonus. Most games run smoothly uaing desktops. The advantage of laptops is ita movability.

Your far better off buying a desktop even there are some really nice laptops out there that preform just as good as a desktop. Because a $3,000 laptop will preform like a $1500 desktop and your going to save a ton of money going with the desktop. Not only that but laptops overheat like crazy and your always going to be having overheating problems.

I totally agree with this. As a pretty hardcore gamer, I would say that the laptops part easily overheat. When you have a desktop, you won't face these issues as you can add in cooling systems. I spent several trips to remedy a fried motherboard. Thank goodness it happened before warranty expire.

Desktops are better for FPS games. Not only that you are guaranteed of great gaming experience, resolution support, minimized lag issues, you can also customize your whole desktop depending on which brand or specs you want. Unlike in laptops where the greater the specs the more expensive it is. If you really want a great gameplay you would have to buy Razer, Alienware, Asus ROG, etc. But even if you have great spec laptop, you will still have issues on FPS extreme/drops, and other hardware technicalities(like overheating) due to all in one built. However, laptops can also be a choice because it is handy especially when you are travelling. But experience wise, desktops are better for gaming.
