Buying or Selling of Accounts in Online Games

I've played a lot of online games on mobile. I've tried Clash of Clans, Clash of Kings, Clash Royale, Golf Clash, and every other kind of clash. I've also joined Facebook groups which composed of people playing these games. In these groups, I've seen quite a lot of people selling their high level accounts for as high as $200!

Does anybody actually pay that kind of money just to get a high level castle or townhall or character? Have you ever tried to either buy or sell an account?

I've had an experience in Clash of Kings wherein one clan member gave me his account because he wanted to stop playing. I got that for free.

Do you have any experience on these kinds of things?

This has been a common practise for basically any game with accounts for the past decade, especially WoW and Terraria accounts, to make a few examples. I've never bought an account because I play to have fun, not to get the best team and/or equipment right away, nor have I ever tried to sell one (I grow oddly attached to my achievements).
I don't blame those who do, though, as long as the game's policies allow for that. I do think that the prices they charge are insane (hundreds of dollars for an account? Seriously?), but no one forces anyone to buy them. I can't blame those who purchase them either, since they're free to do whatever they want with their money, but this doesn't mean I don't find it a poor investment.
Accounts made with hacks and then mass-sold for hundreds of bucks are a totally different story.

I am a seller once. I had 4 accounts on Clash of Clans and I've already sold my 4th account. It is a maxed out Townhall 9 though my price is just $70. The selling of account was so hot back in the days though these days, its very rare that someone would buy an account. I still have my 3 accounts with me, 2 TH 9s and 1 TH11 . I still play it. I still find some people selling their account on global though the price nowadays became lower. You can buy max TH9s with just $30 .

Wow, I didn't know this can be possible. I could sell some of my accounts but I wonder where can we do that? I will probably try to sell on Facebook or look for some gaming forums. I am not a member of gaming groups on Facebook as you but I will join for sure.

I know about a friend that paid about $100 to get an account of LoL, I also thought it was a scam, but after I noticed the account was full of skins, it's kinda of worth it. If he did level up a new account and paid for the skins, the price was around 300$

If there is a global chat on the game you are in, you can actually chat in there. There are lots of members out there especially those who are in the low rank that are wanting to buy an upgraded account. You can search in FB groups also, there are lots of it. There are few buyers nowadays with low bids on accounts though.
