The best console ever in my opinion is sony ps2. Playstation 2 was life! It had the best games ever (god of war series, gta san andreas and vice city, devil may cry series, twisted metal, etc.) Also i think it's the biggest technological advancement in gaming??? Idk. Overall i'll say it's the best because it's the console where i had the most playing. How about you? What do you think is the best console ever?

I have to say it's PS2 for me also because it is the console I spent most time playing on. Without exaggeration, half of my playtime in PS2 was from playing GTA San Andreas. The replay value in the game cannot be topped by any other game for me. It has even become a custom that I buy we buy a new copy of the game in case the current copy stops working.
Many video game companies showed what they had to offer when the PS2 came out. It was like a battleground for game developers, a contest for who develops the best game for the console.

Mine is PS4. I like it, cherish it, live with it, play it. It's made me the gamer I am now. If it were not for this console then I would have not become a pro gamer. I appreciate the folks that made such an awesome console. I have played Resident Evil 7: Biohazard on it, my best game ever. So it's best game on my best console with my best efforts. So it's Best Best Best. So there is nothing more to say.

For me, it's a tie between the PlayStation 2 and Xbox 360 console. I was fortunate enough to own both pieces of gaming history when they were at peak popularity. They both also played a significant part in different stages of my childhood/teen years as a console Gamer. I think the PS3 (and PS4), along with the XBox One are excellent successors to the throne. But the PS2 and Xbox 360 helped to pioneer console gaming for what it is today. For this reason, they have a permanent mark in my mind, along with their most popular games!

While i find it hard to choose a "best console ever" i have to admit that the PS2 was very meaninful in my life. I spent a good deal of my teenage years playing pirates games and i learned many things from them. Good times.

While I want to say the SNES simply because it's my favorite console of all time, I suppose this isn't about favorites. All in all I would have to agree that the PlayStation 2 is the best console of all time. In terms of graphics, I think it was the first console to really make the transition to modern graphics. I remember seeing games like Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty or Final Fantasy X and thinking "My God, graphics can't get better than this!"

Then there is its library of games. It is ridiculous how many classics the PS2 has in its massive library of games. I love the SNES which also has an impressive library, however no console can own up to the PS2.

I would say the PS1 due to nostaglia factors, but since the PS2 can play all the PS1 games then... Playstation 2. Maybe it's just the nostalgia since it was a big part of my first gaming years, but I remember a lot of good games on it. Sometime I watch the intro logo on youtube and it gives me shivers.
So many memories, so cool.

I also vote for PS2. The Video game library is so extensive like it's crazy. The library spans from freaking 2000 to 2014 which is crazy.

It's a close battle between the PS1 and the PS2. But I'll have to go for the PS1 because of the following reasons:
  1. The PS1 was Sony's first console yet blew the competition away. Sony threw Nintendo and Sega in the dust.
  2. It got solid third party support. Developers like Square, Konami and Capcom religiously made games for the system.
  3. The console had lots of awesome exclusive games like Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy, Resident Evil, Gran Turismo, Chrono Cross, Tekken 3, Xenogears, Tenchu, Dino Crisis, Syphon Filter, Silent Hill, and many more.
It was Sony's golden age.

Hands down the best game console ever built was the PS2. The game library was huge and there were a HUGE selection of RPG's. And there is a video store by my house called Family Video. And back in the say they had this half off special. Pay $20 and get games and movies half off for a month. I rented every PS2 game that they ever got in the store. So I played a HUGE amount of PS2 games because they were always changing out the old games with new games.

PS2 and GBA for me solely because I had them as a kid, and played them for most of my childhood. GBA had Pokemon games that were incredibly fun and made me live out the adventures of the TV show, while PS2 had tons of games that really held their own even when they were beginning to phase the console out after 2010. It sucks seeing newer games opt to exclusive PS3s only, but that's the way the world works I guess. Pokemon games stopped being released on the GBA too.

We have had many and multiple consoles over the years. To some sadness we currently have none. My kids have only been playing online and I on my phone. My son has been harping me for a console lately but has not decided which one yet. I wonder if PC gaming is the smartest and most cost efficient way to go?

I will support it's the PlayStation 2.No matter how advanced other consoles might be, a good gamer still refers to PlayStation2. The era of PlayStation2 was the introduction of great games that will definitely be in the mind of gamers. But how come no one considers Sega.

Easy question. It is a matter of personal choice, but a lot of people would agree that PS2 is the best console that has ever come out and it proved that it's not the graphics that make the game, but the games themselves. PS2 has so many games, that every person can name 10 different ones that are classic for him. Also people are saying that PS1 is the best cause of the Nostalgia, but PS2 also has backwards compatibility, which is a huge plus.

I now have a PS3 but from time to time I still play games on my PS2. In my opinion PS2 is the best gaming console. I grew up playing games on my PS2 and there are also some very good PS2 games. I bought many of those PS2 games at discounted prices and will keep them safely.

I grew up with a PS2 as a kid and use to play games like GTA San Andreas on it and some other games, but since technology has evolved, the PS4 is the best, it has great loading speed, and it downloads games faster and has a bunch of features, as well as the look of it just looks... AmAzInG!

However the one thing I don't like about the PS4 is how it now makes you pay for PlayStation plus if you want to play online.
