You should really learn to respect women. It really sounds like you do not. If you switch it up, I'll put some respect on your name. The worst thing I'd say I've done on video games is prolly smash one of my guitar hero controllers.
I didn't say it towards a women I said it to a man

Well, I never had trouble, but my ex-boyfriend always played Football Manager. We lived together so at least I had the chance to talk to him, but he was seriously addicted and sometimes I had to beg him to come to bad at 2am. I never argued with him because of this, but I was really annoyed sometimes.

My brother and I used to steal games from K-Mart when we were a lot younger and dumber. We almost got caught one time. One of the store workers saw us taking the game and putting it in our shirts. We didn't see him see us, so we didn't take any extra caution. After we thought we were done, we celebrated a little. Another job done. As we were leaving, the store worker that saw us earlier stopped us and made us give the games back. He then told us to never come back or he will report us to the police. He mentioned some security footage, so we never went back. Lesson learned, I guess.

Sorry about your ex haha, but all the things come for a good reason, dude! Well, I didn't have a problem with gaming, really, my girlfriend like to hang out with me and my mate to play or see a movie, but one time I couldn't go to a job interview because I was playing and I forgot everything, but now I have a better job and I love to play.

Not that much to be honest. Maybe failed few exams in semester but I managed to pass them after without a problem. But I know how to divide the two, important stuff and gaming. At least now I do, before it was just gaming mostly.

My last girlfriend actually broke up with me due to gaming. It was actually my fault because I forgot that we had plans and it was her birthday and I was at home playing games. She just went to my place and just broke up with me. Felt really bad but I can laugh about it now.

Hahaha ... this is really funny to hear.
I've never had so much trouble with the games, except when I got low grades at school, so my parents monitored the time I played monthly. Today I am married and I have the good sense, because the game can yes compromise any relationship.

Funny part that I never get in trouble in regards to gaming. Why would I :p Yet I can have some times when it happen.
  • Playing the same game for hours on end for an hole day and family member starts saying that I have don't done anything around the home and the talk starts crazy you know.
  • regards being online never got in trouble LOL other then getting others in trouble :p
Yeah I don't get it either. You're just at home sitting in the chair all day. It's not like you're hurting anyone. People out there spending their money on whatever they want, and here we are sitting quietly and enjoying a different universe each time a game is turn on, and people condemn us for it? Damn, what a world we live in, huh?

Old post, but yeah, that must have sucked. I would chose gaming over relationship any time :)) Just kidding. But, my fiance is a gamer herself, which is great. And not just that, shes into technology and everything like me, we already have some plans on working together on various stuff, not just gaming. Although, Im pretty sure we will waste quite some days gaming as well :)

The only trouble I can mention I've been through with by gaming is that of emotional trouble which arises due to undesired situations which include marital situations and the likes. In addition to that, whenever I was short of cash and couldn't find a way out on time, I used to feel bad, but once I got my favorite game set, I quickly got relieved.

Don't mind but your girlfriend just did the right thing. As a woman even I will never tolerate my partner being obsessed with something to this extent that he will forget such an important aspect of my life.

Gaming is no doubt fun but it should never become a priority in our lives. Everything has a particular place and gaming no doubt falls far behind many other important responsibilities in life.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding rude but what you did was unacceptable.

I also had problems with my mom due to gaming. I was so addicted to the Tekken games at a particular point that I used to spend hours playing the game. I was still a student at that time. My mom used to get annoyed at me as I was not studying but only playing games. She even hid my PlayStation at times and this made me feels so frustrated as I was an addict.

I've been in trouble for gaming several times but I think the worst one was when my parents found out that I was playing way too much. I used to play an MMO for more than 12 hours a day. Even going to school didn't stop me as the MMO was ported to mobile so I would play it during my break. And when I got home, I would play until 3am and wake up around 5am just so I could grind more dungeons before I go to school at 7am. It was an unhealthy habit and I'm glad I grew tired of the game.

Well, some are saying about the health that comes from sitting down all day. I'm not fat as sitting down all day doesn't make you fat it what you eat is what makes you fat. I eat very healthy and yet I don't sit down all day. mostly up and down with other life stuff.

Lmao! It's a loooong long list! But the few you might want to know is, getting beaten by my mum cos she thought i was gambling with friends on games and also skipping numerous classes in high school resulting to poor academic performance and also countless default in the daily class roll call.

wow that's terrible! I would have been mad at you too lol! It was her birthday! but well I guess if it becomes a problem then you should stop for a while. I used to get into trouble because I spent to much time playing in the computer at night and my parents didn't quite like it but after a while - when I start college to be exact- I stopped and they stop bothering me.

I wouldn't say i got to in trouble sort of speak. But I did waste the last 19 years of my life buying way too many video games and spending way too much time playing. I bet if I added up everything that I spend on gaming over the last 19 years it would be a minimum of $30k. And if I added all the time up I wasted years of my life sitting in front of a computer screen.

Now I am not saying that gaming is a bad thing, gaming is great as long as you keep it in check. Don't buy every game under the sun and keep playing time in moderation. I can not even begin to tell you how much more of a fulfilling life I have now that I keep game time to 1~3hrs a day and my wallet is happy too!

P.S. some days I don't even play at all.

Back then, I play video games everyday despite there being school in the day after. I get scolded for playing too much games that my sleeping habits have become worse since I tend to stay up late at night while playing. Now that I have graduated, the case is still the same. I stay up late at night to be scolded in the day after because I wake up at 12 noon. I find it funny because it has been like this for years now and I am thankful that my parents are still worried about my health.

The most troublesome thing I did for gaming did not that much cause trouble or a risk for my career or what. I cut classes just to play League of Legends when I was in college. But I only did that twice like me and my friend did not attend afternoon classes just to play in the café tournament. However, it did not affect my grades or what because I can manage acing my subjects and League of Legends at the same time.
