Terraria has hundreds and hundreds of weapons, tiles(blocks), and around 24 main biomes. 32 bosses and minibosses, and a lot of enemies. There are NPC's that can move into the house you make, each having different sayings, an ability to fight hostile enemies to defend themselves, and capacity to sell you items for coins. Minecraft, sadly has a lack of content. With only seven weapons and two splash potions to fight enemies, there are not many options to battle. 2 bosses to fight, four variations of Villagers, and less than 1000 items in total, it's a game that ends fast.
What do you think about this issue?

I think this is a matter of "to each their own" more than anything.

I personally have played hundreds of hours of both titles as I really enjoy that type of sandbox style game and I don't consider amazing, AAA 3D graphics a number one priority in my games. I guess the best way to put it is to point out what I love about both titles. I can t really think of anything that I hate about either of them as they've been in development for so long that theres just nothing for me to dislike.

With Minecraft, I do prefer the mechanics for building. Terraria's lack of a third dimension leaves a lot to be desired when it comes to building - but its not a building game anyway. I also love Minecraft's more peaceful and relaxing nature. You could easily build a nice big wall around yourself and enjoy a beautiful sunset while eating a piece of pork. I also like the massive support for mods and amazing looking texture and resource packs that add so much beauty to the game. Provided you have a beefy machine for that to all work out anyway.

Minecraft also has a better multiplayer system in my opinion. Terraria has great co-op but multiplayer servers are generally a mess unless its just you and a small group of friends.

I like Terraria because of the insane list of items, the way the worlds work and generate and the extensive list of enemies and bosses. Its just such a fun, character focused combat game that has a hint of everything else I love, like building, farming and crafting. The exploration is also an awesome and rewarding experience. The rush you get when you find a chest is definitely something special.

Hi, Sasha, I like both these games, and I think that any of them has something that the other doesn't at some point. It may be hard to choose between them, so may play what they catch first!
Thank you for your answer to my post, Sasha and have a wonderful day!

I never managed to get into Terraria as much as I got into Minecraft. Maybe it's due to the graphics which take some time to get used to or the fact I enjoy building complex structures in Minecraft, something I can't do on Terraria.
I personally think they're pretty different games, it depends on what you enjoy doing more: adventuring or building.

I much prefer Minecraft over Terraria mainly due to the graphics and 3D aspect but I haven't played Terraria nor got to know the characters enough to say how good Terraria is, whether it's a bad game or if it is perhaps even better than Minecraft. I just ended up playing Minecraft more.

Terraria differs a fair bit from Minecraft, I think, since Terraria has deeper lore but somewhat less opportunity to play the game without an end objective. Both games have their merits, as far as I can tell. Personally I haven't played Terraria but have watched Let's Plays of it, so I'm a bit biased towards Minecraft. The 3D aspect, as mentioned by @rockandgreen, is quite compelling.

I think it depends on what are you looking for. Terraria is more of an RPG game, in my opinion, there are bosses to defeat and each boss is harder your you gain weapons and all kind of stuff to defeat next boss. Minecraft, on the other hand, is more of a sandbox to me, there are no real objectives to do but you still can enjoy doing other cool things like building structures or mining in the mines.

I think they are different games and shouldn't be compared against each other. Terraria is a 2D game and Minecraft is a 3D game. They provide different experiences and it could be pretty bias because for a player that prefers 3D games, Minecraft is better and vice versa. I would say Terraria is fun to play for its difficulty and challenges because there are various bosses available throughout the game. Minecraft is much more like a game wherein there is freedom in building. It's also challenging especially when played in Hardcore mode.

I love both. But if you're a person who has a preference for 3D games, you might not like Terraria. If you hate first person games, you might not also like Minecraft. Okay, we've got the graphics thing out of the way. Let's move on to the building and crafting.

Both games have a huge amount of things to collect and build. Still, Terraria blows Minecraft out of the water because there are more things to discover and collect.

Challenge/difficulty - in my opinion, Terraria is a lot more challenging. There are more enemies and bosses that you have to face.

Creativity - I think Minecraft unlocks your creativity more than Terraria does. You can create more intricate structures with Minecraft simply because it's in 3d.

Atmosphere - Minecraft wins this one too. It's fun to explore the mountains and jungles in Minecraft. Like @SashaS has said, the game is more peaceful and relaxing.

I could never get into Terreria as much as I could get into Minecraft. I own both for PC and it's been years since I've opened up Terreria. I think it's because Minecraft allows you to have much more control over creativity than Terreria.
