I got a laptop for free, but I don't have a room in my new apartment for my desktop so I had to leave it at home. Unfortunately my laptop only has a Nvidia 920MX, 8gig ram and an i5. What games can I play with this? I don't really mind using the lowest settings as long as I get a playable framerate.

So far, I have tried Just Cause 3 and Mirror's Edge 2. Both work very well.

There are so many games that it's pointless listing them all. Instead use this website: https://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri

All you have to do is search for the game that you're interested and playing and see if your laptop can manage it! It one of the most accurate softwares available so give it a try and see :)

Don't go the route of "what games can my laptop play", go with "what do I want to play in my laptop" route. If it doesn't work, you can always get a refund. It shouldn't be about what your laptop can handle because sometimes you can go past the limits of your laptop if you turn off certain graphics-intensive settings and some mods out there that increase performance. It's all about what you want, and hell, I've seen Skyrim on low setting played on a laptop from 2005.

Yep, just key in your laptop's specifications and put in what you do you want to play. It will give percentages of how much can your laptop play it. I use this site too since I also only play on a laptop. Mine has a 930m so it's slightly better but it only has an i3 clocked at 1.7ghz so it's really slow.

My specs are a lot lower than yours and my friend has the exact same specs as you do. The games I've seen him play are Dead Rising 2 and Outlast 2, both of which ran perfectly fine on his device without even charging. Mine could barely run Dead Rising 2 at 30 fps, it even struggles to produce 20 fps during the times where there are a lot of zombies around. Aside from that, you could probably run Skyrim on ultra settings.

This is something that I know nothing about so I will read this thread with interest and see what I can find out about the different gaming types and specs that should be used. They could lead to some expansive and interesting gaming I am sure.
