I agree with most people on this that the margin of difference between the two is relatively small. You can get a paid game that is useless and a waste of money, and you can get a free game that you could play ten times over, and vice versa of course.

It all depends. In my personal experience, I feel like paid games receive more updates on a regular basis to keep the fan base engaged. In addition to that, I feel like free games developers depend solely on micro transactions or advertisements to generate revenue. Both methods of revenue generation, I don't agree with.

I have never played a good free game. I don't know where you find them. Which ones would you recommend? I only remember getting The Sims 2 and Syberia 2 for free. The rest of the games I played I had to buy.

Sometimes I play Free games..but I prefer the paid games since they are better with amazing graphics(Almost all of the paid games) and mostly adventurous.

When I play I do it in my free time in my cellphone so I’m really sided to free games, I see the point in paying for them because you don’t get the bunch of advertisements and they are actually better quality games but I just don’t have that much money to spend on them and you can find almost any game for free in internet anyway so I’m not very down for paying for games…

On mobile, I play more free games than paid games. About 5% of the games on my phone are paid, and the rest are free. I got Virtua Tennis before, Scribblenauts, Deus Ex, and Shadow Run which are all excellent IMO. Free games on mobile are pretty good too. My only gripe is that there are a lot of ads that pop up when connected to the internet.

On PC, I've also played a lot of free games. However, they pale in comparison to paid games. If I'm gonna play on mobile, I prefer free. When I'm on PC, I go for paid.

Well, I like both, the free games are fun but they don't give you a complete experience, and the paid games sometimes are an extension of a free game, but I think that both have their pros and cons, I think that I will go with the free games because there are a lot more than the paid games.

I play a healthy mix of free and paid games on my PC. There are a ton of fun, simple browser games that I'll play just to pass the time. A lot of them are really nostalgic, too - reminds me of being a kid and getting access to the computer lab in school. We'd always finish our work as fast as we could and then play flash games for the rest of classtime. I think it just depends on what kind of mood you're in, but generally speaking, paid games are much higher quality.

I played more free games but also bought and played more paid games. When I google free games vs paid I mostly get stuff about mobile phone games, which I am not interested in playing because I almost play on my PC. For PC, which ones would you play? Free games or Paid games? and why?

When my mobile phone was new , I bought games , educational games. That's because I didn't know I can get free games at Play Store. But when I was told that I should just go to Play store, which I did, I never get to buy games anymore. Besides, I only install one game at a time in my phone, lest it gets slow.

To be honest, I prefer free games than paid games. The difference isn't that big and I don't see not playing paid games as a loss. Since there's a lot of great free games that are still available.

I sometimes believe that in order to have quality content you have to pay for it, but there are some exceptions of course, not all free games have lack of quality, I think it depends on whoever develops the game.

I have both and I can't really say which one I prefer. Single player games are story driven and there are a lot of games with replay-ability but once you finished the new game+ or the highest difficulty there is not much to offer after that. Free games or CCG games for me is a bit different. There are daily task and I would always try to end the season with the highest rank I could reach. Every quarter there are new cards/content that I could play with and this makes the game interesting again.

I usually play free games on my mobile. I don't really buy games to play on my mobile as I spend very less time playing those games. I play mobile games only when I am travelling. However when it comes to PlayStation games I buy games most of the times. There are some free games that I have played but I find the paid games to be better. The music, game play and graphics quality of paid games are much better.

Free games all the way! But on the long run, it actually depends because a lot of free games are mostly trial versions or pirated versions or won't work fine. There's always a downside for free games but I'll always go for them if it's not the trial version of an orginal game, pirated or if it works fine.

Its 50-50. There are great games on both free and paid apps. But I usually have more free games because I choose to allocate my funds for things that are important and soon be used for emergency situations. However, I experienced buying and playing paid games like NBA 2k17 and Assassin's Creed. They were all worth buying because you get what you paid for. But I am pretty happy with free games because some of the games are worthy to be paid.

There's no denying that games and game developers may come from anywhere. Even it applies to free and paid games. They can come from anywhere. And it simply depends on our perspectives if we prefer the paid ones better than the free ones. Some may say that paid ones are better, there's no denying it. But even then we are to see some free games that are a lot better than some paid games. So it all depends on a typical gamer's tastes, whether they liked the game or not. And as long as more games come in the near future the boundary between the two would become narrower. That's what I think.

Free games on mobile are better. They are also better for the developers because they get paid more when a game is free. It's very hard for app developers to get a download at $0.99. It's very easy to get a download at free. The top paid app will get 15,000 downloads a day on iOS. The top free app will get over 1,000,000. Free-to-play apps are designed to let people pay only if they want. It turns out that some people are willing to pay anywhere between $5 to $5,000 on games they really like. I've seen people pay a lot of money just to have some nice cards on WWE supercard.
