The better evolved games and the ones that try something new are more for indie games these days. Most AAA games don't try to be different; most just milk their franchises to the ground because they will always have a fanbase that will purchase stuff for them. You wanna make a change? Support the indie guys who actually have a passion for gaming and not just for profit.

The problem is most of the Indie guys do it for the passion but who's to say they won't be the companies who repeat the same content over and over in a near future? There is a fine line in here also. It's like the artist who falls in love with his own image and stops caring about the fans. Bottom line we should value good content always. As long as it's affordable ;)

Lmao true, I don't buy games unless it's on sale of at least 50%. Unless I really like the game and can't wait, I'll have to weigh the pros and cons; read reviews, all that routine. But even then, I'll still get buyer's remorse because I simply could have waited for a sale and get the game at a much lower price.

Better than doing drugs and getting into trouble, I say. Spending a few bucks a month on games is still a lot better than most hobbies out there, and it's a lot safer too since you don't get into trouble sitting in front of your computer. Players of games shouldn't be condemned for that; there are lots of other ways to waste money and time but not all are advisable.
True. Other people hate us for playing video games because they think we won't get anything out of it. Lol. For me I learned a lot in playing video games. It would also be good to combine both virtual and social lives. :)

Good PC parts can last for years so it's definitely a good investment for the time you will spend. I mean, if you're gonna play a game, might as well play it at full potential instead of having laggy gameplay because your PC is subpar. I agree that it's supposed to be a balance, and you have to make sure you don't overdo, because having health problems just for gaming can be a bummer.

Couldn't agree more. Well said man. Most people make the mistake of buying low quality cheap parts that will only last for a couple of months or even a year. But a good move will be to invest on something that be reliable for more than 2 years.
Yep. Gotta have to stay healthy. Game and socialize. :)

The answer to this is straight right. When I was a kid I do game to catch up with my peers. So that I will not be removed from the discussions. Because in those days kids interact and talk about the games they are playing, challenges and all then. So bit by bit I started to develop interest in it and then started to enjoy the fun part of it.

Video games have always been an escape for me. I think sometimes you just need to step away from everything and relax and enjoy something. Some people like to get lost in books. I just really enjoy a really challenging game that stimulates my mind.

The reason why I play is to forget the day to day, to take off from the world even for a moment, sometimes it is necessary very necessary, but the truth about i stated to play is because, i was a curious child and i was bored Quick and my father bought me a console and from there everything started.

I play games because I usually work a lot and do many things throughout the week. So, when I have free time, I need to do something that makes me forget everything about my daily chores. I also like to see nice artwork and ideas from videogames even though most games use the same things, sometimes you find gold when you were looking for bronze, and those moments are excellent for me :)

I love the escape factor of playing games and how they can take me away from the issues and worries that I have for a few hours and place me in an imaginative space where I can relax or decompress. I have to limit myself with my gameplay because of my responsibilities, but, I do enjoy using gaming, at intervals, to relieve stress and anxiety through interacting with fantastic worlds.

I play games as a way to relax and to socialize with my friends who have moved overseas. It is also kind of a hobby to follow and play the latest games regularly.

I play just for fun most times no strings attached but this also serves as a means of taking breaks I'm a bit of a workaholic so when I want to take things slow I just get a game and play. But there are some games I have played which I totally regretted playing an example is Saints Row 4. Video games also helps when it comes to swift decision making for instance when you play Call of Duty or battlefield you are tasked to make split second decisions. Gaming to me is fun and also helps build up quick decision making tactics.

I do game to keep me accompany and not to make feel lonely. And also to avoid too much thinking when doing nothing, or to relieve me from anger when I'm angry.

I think for a lot of us the answer comes down to how you are benefiting from it. I can tell you that some of the time people focus on the boredom. Some people focus on the boredom part and they play with their friends. In my case it's pretty much similar. I play games for the same reason too as well.

I started to play games more often, because I found a new world there, with no worries and no stress. My normal life is based on routine,so mainly boring.
Playing gets me out of boredom, but sometimes I waste too much time and totally lose the track of time.I guess this happens to most of the gamers.
You plan to play for 1-2 hours, but at some point you find out that 3 hours or more been already gone.

I use to game for the social aspect of it. Making new online friends and chatting with the ones I know. But times have changed and most of the people out there are either trolls or they will use you for whatever they can get out of you and then toss you to the curb. In the last 5 years I can count one one hand how many people that I could call true friends. So I just gave up on Online game and I have been playing a lot of Minecraft, because Online gaming isn't worth the hassle anymore.

As a freelancer, most of the time spent in front of the computer and as a result boredom arise. When I don't have a task assigned to me I play games from my computer and PSP 4. Doing this ease my boredom and take away my burn out. Sometimes bonding with friends and family is another reason why I play games. It's developing my relationship to my friends and family. Games make my life easier and fun. It gives me peace of mind most of the time. Game lover understands what I'm talking about because for us it's not only game its passion.
