I don't play racing games on my phone normally, but I have been playing Real Racing, CSR Racing 2 and a new one called SUP Multiplayer Racing. Brilliant game.

Well, since you mentioned Need for Speed, they do have a game app developed that you can download from the app store. It's called Need for Speed: No Limits and it's free. Another good racing game is Asphalt 8, also completely free.

My favorite though is the one that Hux mentioned, it's called Real Racing 3 and it's extremely good. It's very realistic, even with its graphics - you will be surprised how good they are since it's a mobile game. You got a multiplayer mode and you can even customize the cars. You should give this one a try first and see how you like it ;)

Thank you so much for this suggestions. I'm gonna try to download these games and try one by one to see how they work in my cellphone. :tongueclosed:

I personally, think that racing games for mobile are trash because the controlling in the game is just way to hard and very inconsistent to me and to me that doesn't make a very fun game.

Of course it's a matter of taste. I still think these games are very entertaining when you are bored in a waiting room for example lol

I have penguin race on tablet. My nephew plays a lot with it. And then I also have some other mobile games related to bird racing and those bike racing. Not much addictive games if you ask me. But feature wise it seems like a good concept. But after some of the time we just get bored with it and we don't know about it.

NFS: No Limits and Asphalt 8 should run fine on most phones but obviously they benefit quite a bit from higher end devices. Both games provide adequate enjoyment before you hit that classic EA paywall. If you got a bit of cash to spare, definitely pick up Horizon Chase. Its a great little modern rendition of those classic 8 and 16 bit arcade racers. There is also an older Need For Speed game, Most Wanted, but it costs money and I'm not too sure how it compares to its console and PC counterparts. Just head over to the racing games category on the Play Store/ App Store, you're bound to find something interesting that is not as often discussed.

I also recommend Hill Climb Racing (the first one, the sequel is trash) as a simple pick up 'n go arcade racer. You're only really racing yourself, but I guess it counts anyway. Check out Pako Chase while you're at it.

Many good car racing games are available on the Play Store. There is a game called Traffic Rider. I find it to be the best racing game and I am sure that you will love it. The graphics are excellent and I like the environment and soundtrack too.

Asphalt 8 was amazing. I don't think I can recommend any mobile racing game that is just as good. The graphics, the controls, the gameplay, it's literally almost everything I want in a racing game. To run it, you will need pretty good specs on your phone though. Back then I was playing it with 2gb of ram and an Octacore processor, and it still had small hiccups during gameplay.

CSR Racing 2 is a drag racing game, you will buy cars, add upgrades and the racing. It feature a compaign mode with plenty of races. You will also be able to do online racing against people if you want. There are plenty of cars to collect and the graphics are actually pretty good. I really love this game.

I played those as a kid on my friend's phone. It was okay, graphics were decent for the genre, and the phone wasn't even that advanced to begin with. All in all mobile games are just a way to waste time in class, at the bus, at home when there's no electricity; but at the end of the day you'll always have better times when playing on real platform, instead of having to rely on a phone for your gaming needs.

I think this was the game I played a lot on my friend's phone. It was basically just driving on the map while countless cars drive by and you have to overtake them for points. There was also time trial which I still don't get since you have the same car for most of the game.

Currently I have in my cell phone F1 2016. It's a good game, but I think I've played better. Anyway, it's worth checking.

Real Racing 3 is amazing :). But I also like Asphalt 8. These two are mobile games you should definitely try. By the way, what type of phone do you have? If you have a smartphone with a large screen, this will give you an amazing game experience.

Have a look at Beach Buggy Racing or Blitz. You can choose between different characters, unique cars with upgradable power ups.The aim of this game is to get as farther as you can, travelling along the beach. There are hidden locations such lakes,temples..But more on the roadway.
If you are a fan of Traffic Racer,I give you something related to it: Racing Fever.
Lot of guys mentioned Asphalt 8.Indeed,I can't argue the great race-simulation.Expect to waste a lot of time in order to purchase a good car. Those stuffs are expensive and kinda pushing you to throw in money. There will be harder opponents during your progress, and you can't simply make it without a super-fast car.
Real Racing 2 or 3 and GT Racing are way realistic, but you only drive on racetracks,so no city backgrounds.
You may choose drifting games as well: CarX Drift Racing.

It seems like you all know the fine racing games for mobile. But I think that you have forgotten to mention the greatest mobile racing game of all time - Hill Climb Racing! Haha! Just kidding. Still, if you have a very weak smartphone, then you can try Hill Climb Racing. It's not a very graphics intensive game but still fun to play.

I've noticed that all your suggestions involve car racing games and not one did you mention about motorcycle racing. And I've got just the perfect game for you - Trials Frontier by Ubisoft.

It's also free to download and play (just the way we want it right?). The controls are simple too but the tracks are tricky so it's actually quite challenging. There are a lot of customizations that you could do to your bike which makes you want to play more. Graphics aren't that good (they're no match for GT Racing or Asphalt or Real Racing) but they're not that bad either.

If you're a racing fan, you gotta try this.

I have not played that game as of yet. But based on what I have read so far. it seems to be a good game. And many people are into playing it so far. I can tell you that some of the mobile based racing games are good on many fronts. I'd suggest those subway surfer type games. Not exactly racing but are on same line.
