Will Blizzard Fall Behind?

Gosugamers.net reports on an inside look at Blizzard's conference call regarding their annual reports.
To this date:
6 million Starcraft II copies sold
10 million Diablo 3 copies sold
and still over 10 million current WoW subscribers.

It is hard to believe after over 20 years, blizzard is still going strong in the game industry. With having rights the the number one most played MMORPG game of all time, and several new games in the making, they are still on top. The big question is, with more competitors coming out, with all new games. Will Blizzard ever fall behind in the game industry? How much longer do you think they are going to remain at the top. Blizzard will never fail because they are well organized and they have this habit of bringing out only the best of the best out.
Like mentioned Wow, Starcraft, Warcraft III, Diablo .... I dont know a gamer who didnt play at least one of those titles

Anyone who has not played one of those games can't call themselves a gamer

Blizzard will never fall! They have a tendency to make some great games. I loved Starcraft, one of my favorite games of all-time. I'm also noticing more and more of my friends, who have never played games before in their lives, get hooked onto Overwatch. Blizzard's great.

Maybe in the future but so far I do not see it happening. Blizzard has established itself as a gaming giant and everyone is looking out for every release Blizzard makes. Right now the company is in a solid position and there is nothing out there that even remotely threatens WoW in the MMO gaming industry and is currently on the rise when it comes to FPS.

Blizzard seems to have a neverending source of great ideas, so I find it hard to believe they'll ever run out.
With the astounding success of Overwatch (Seriously, we lack posts on the matter.) then they have proved they keep coming up with fresh content for their hordes of fans.

I don't think so, they still managed to be on top, with Overwatch being their top game now. I think Blizzard can offer a lot, they are one of the best things that happened to online gaming.

I think they will be fine if they keep up the good work and great content they have been doing over the past couple of years. I mean it's amazing to see the growth they have accumulated within the past 10 years alone.

To be honest, in the long run? Yes Blizzard will probably fail and be eaten up by another company. Will it happen anytime soon? I doubt it, they have so much liquid assets that they could probably bomb three or four games.

Another thought, every game they've made has been gold. They don't fail, and even if they did, Blizzard fan boi's, in which I include myself, would still buy their product. I've loved every game they've put out and probably will continue to love them.

I am sad that we still have not seen FPS Ghost come out, and I would love to see them put our a single player RPG like Fallout of Skryim or something. I think they would do a better job than Bethesda.

They're still among the leaders of MMO games, and they keep pumping out big hits, like Overwatch. The difference with other genres is that MMOs require long-term commitment, so you can live off a solid starting user base without having to fear transitory trends. And such commitment is usually met by the users, and it has been for the past 20 years or so, which means that Blizzard's strategy has been successful so far.
I honestly can't see it failing anytime soon if they keep putting the same care and attention into their games. They're not just successful games, they're good ones at that.
