What are your biggest complaints with the PS3?

For me, the only one I have really is the freeze-ups. I know, I know, if I play it too long it will freeze. Still don't like it though. :p

I don't like their multiplayer severs, they are easy to hack/mod (which is good & bad) and they don't put any maintenance into them so they are really slow.

I love the controllers. I actually hate the XBox ones. What do you not like about them?

I hate that it only comes with one controller. What's the fun in that? I also thought they could have done a lot more with it, because it honestly wasn't that huge of a leap from the PS2.

I like the PS3 controller a lot more than Xbox's. PS3 controller feels more comfortable in my hands. The analogue sticks feel pretty smooth and accurate to me. (Where I found the 360's to be rather sensitive...) The shoulder buttons I didn't like the feel of on 360 either.

As for online, I don't find it slow at all.
And hacking their servers... have you ever done that to know whether it's easy or not? (I ask because I've only ever seen a few hacked lobbies on MW2. But if I recall right, those servers aren't handled by Sony so if they're easy to hack then it isn't Sony's fault, it'd be Activision's.)

One thing I don't like about the PS3 though is when you switch hard drives it has to format the new one... Even if it was previously formatted for PS3 or used by a PS3. So there is no way to take a hard drive from one PS3 and put it into another to access the save data.

That I can't play PS2 games on it, it really sucks specially when they are releasing them online telling us to pay for them again.

I don't really it's fair at all for me to play it; it's "not worthy" of me!

Well I do notice the loading times take forever on some games. But other than that, everything else was satisfactory. The graphics weren't exactly that great on some games, but it was definitely the time when all the good things happened.

I bought my first PS3 as soon as it launched. The first versions had that heating problem and i burned aftert a few months. Other than that no complaints really. I bought the slim version a couple of years later and it's been working fine every since.

As the machine gets older, you may find it having more freezing. And it will have it's hickups out there. You can see that some of the time PS3 is going to not work at all. And may need cold bootup as you normally do. I think this happens many times when you have to do this. I have seen such behavior plenty of times.

The Price at launch day! I remember picking one up from Costco for about $900 but it came with the works, the original fatboy console with 2 games, an extra controller, a blu-ray movie and even the remote control for the ps3 which I lost and never found but to be fair I never used it.

Now looking back after getting my PS4 for $400, it seems like a waste of money, but when you were the only one among your friends to have a PS3 back during the launch date, they guaranteed bragging rights.

It's been years since I last played my PlayStation 3, and to be honest off the top of my head I can't really recall having any significant complaints about the console. At the time I still had the original phat PS3 as well, which you would think I'd have more issues with compared to the new and updated ones. My issues with it were really insignificant, such as the logo font being tacky or the standby light being really bright at night. But otherwise, that was a pretty great console and a worthy successor to the PlayStation 2.

I personally never owned a PS3. Though I did have plenty of experience on the console itself through playing with neighbors and friends.

To begin, I wasn't really a fan of the Dualshock 3 controller, to begin with. The machine itself would also overheat many times after 1-2 hours of gameplay. The graphic quality was also average for its time period. These glitches and hardware faults along with other minor quirks steered me away from buying a PS3 console for my own use.

Overall it wasn't a bad machine but could've used some improvements which I feel were somewhat accomplished with the PS4.

I think my problems would be the occasional overheating of the machine and the controllers. I just didn't feel it at all with the controllers, it felt comfortable and all but there was just something about them that's bothering me. I think it may be the L2 and R2 buttons being a bit too comfortable? I guess I just got used to the dualshock2 controller, but even up to now I still prefer the dualshock2 style of L1 and R2 buttons.

I dont have any problem with PS3 other than their multiplayer servers. I think that they are not maintaining their servers at time. They should update it regularly.

Hi, Toxique my biggest complaints with the PS3 is that the controller is the worse I have ever had and you don't receive the patches, and this is what I hate the most! Thank God that Ps4 is out!
