Kind of the same reasons as you there Zinc but I do have my own reasons sometimes but it depends on the game I am playing but I use it to de-stress (Such is the fun of shooting random people on GTA or COD) but I do use it to keep in touch with some friends from my old school and it is a good way to do so.

I enjoy playing with other people, having a challenge, and looking at fantasy stories. I also like the beautiful scenery of soem games like galaxy 2.

To me gaming is my form of relaxing and releasing some stress. We all have our ways of dealing with the daily challenges in life, you know like your jobs, economy and other stuff, but when you put on that console, and sit down with that 60inch television in front of you, well these things go away for a while and its just you and your game that takes center stage...NIRVANA I say!

I like making friends online, especially through Steam. I have played video games since I was 5. I always enjoy playing video games, it doesn't matter what genre I play. I also love watching youtubers playing games; it's hilarious, and time-killing. I use games as a source of depression reduction. It helps me distract myself from emotional traumas.

For me, a computer game is like any social game where I play with someone. Interactive games are exciting mainly because of the opponent who is on the other line. Playing a game helps me forget the worries especially the tension in the job. But I also play game apps once in a while. Would you believe that I still play Candy Crush? It is handy and although it is not an interactive game, I enjoy playing against the program and I'd say it is also a stress reliever for me.

I have similar feelings as you. For me, though, it's not so much about making friends over Steam, but it's about keeping in touch with my current friends and playing games with them. I find that after a long day at work, it's really nice to unwind playing some games casually with some of my good friends. This also gives us the chance to catch up and chat about other aspects of our lives while we game.

Yeah, sometimes I feel like, I want to play with bots more than with real players. The real point of playing against bots is that bots are easily stomped. Most of the time, bots aren't that smart.

We aren't really different though. I also use Steam to socialize with my friends, too. Yep, Playing games casually with friends is hilarious, especially when turning the mic on.

Thanks for agreeing and I'm glad to know that we are on the same boat. I also love playing with the computer. Right now, my diversion is Candy Crush. It is a simple game of dexterity and not so exciting as the interactive games where you can play with an opponent. However, that robotic game relaxes my mind especially when I am over stressed, Candy Crush can soothe my head and be normal again after a game or 2.

I enjoy gaming because you get to escape reality for a little bit, while doing something you enjoy doing. It's also fun especially if you're a really good game.

It is like everyone says, it is an escape to another place and time. This is why I play many single player games, for it takes me away from dealing with stressed out and impatient people. Which are probably doing the same thing when they get home. Its almost like reading a story, but you get to be in the story, and make decisions that could get your character killed. The more immersive the game, the better escape it is for me.

Well of course I enjoy it it wouldn't be much fun if I did enjoy it. I don't play games for no reason I play games because it's a fun pass time. its a chance to escape reality. to dispense all belief and immerse yourself into the story and world of the game.

I originally started gaming, especially in the realm of MMORPG's, mainly because I wasn't happy nor satisfied with my own life. So basically I felt it was easier to create a character to play in an open world game that's cooler than me, rather than working on myself. I enjoyed this thoroughly for a moment. However, when I realized that this was only a temporary feel good, I decided to change and become a better person in real life.

Fast forward to current day, now I have my life together (somewhat, thankfully). So primarily, I game as a pass time, as well as an online technique to socialize with others. Like @camshaq23 said as well, I've learned a lot of information on different subjects (like cars) through gaming.

Simply put, nowadays I enjoy gaming for the social aspect, informative aspect, and general principle of having time to spare.

Is "I enjoy gaming because is fun" a bad answer... ? No because that is literally why I enjoy gaming! This is kind of obvious, but if you don't have fun while playgin games then... why are you playing?
I can't seem of a thing I enojy besides the fun: you could say the plots, but there are many games without plot. Where's the plot in puzzle games? But I have fun with them too! You could say is the action, but there are games without action. There are so many different kind of games, and I enjoy having fun with them! It's a nice way to spend time, at evening, afternoon or morning, whenever I can.
Just simple, plain, fun.
