I buy most of my games on Steam. Usually I can't afford the games when it first comes out, so I put it on my wish list and wait for it to go on sale. I know by the time I actually play the game, everyone else has played it and moved on. So its OK by me, for I still get to enjoy the game, just a year or two later.

I do the exact same thing as you. My wishlist is loaded with stuff I've queued up to return to when it's on sale. Steam seems to find every opportunity it can put have massive sales, so I'll usually bide my time until one of those happens, and then snag some games I've been wanting. Of course, I make it a point not to spend more than $20 or $30 during a sale if I can avoid it. I have tons of Steam games in my library that I haven't even touched as of yet.

Usually when I want really cheap games I go to G2A.com. They have games cheaper than steam or anything else. They also have REALLY cheap games. Like at the moment they actually have doom on sale for $13 if you want to go and check that out. And if you were wondering, this isn't a paid sponsorship xD

I don't have much room at home, so I buy every game on digital delivery. Where? Well the first choice is always Steam, because it have a lot of games and really good offers. Then GOG, I'm a fan of retrogaming and here I find many games from my childhood, and some classics I never played. I also bought something from Origin, because it was avalaible only there...
Oh and if we count the various indie bundle... I have a hundred of games from them, games I'll probably never play.

I don't like the fact that Steam pretty much runs the PC games market. Decided that I'd support other companies like GOG just so there is some competition. Plus, a lot of places have comparable deals to Steam.

Very interesting point of view. Unfortunately, steam has been my main source for acquiring games. Prior to that, I usually hit up BestBuy when they have deals. My local GameStop's are horrible so I try to avoid them as much as possible.

For me, I normally buy video games through the PlayStation network, so I would not have to bother wasting gas. I am a lazy person sometimes.

I only play PC now so I normally buy my games from Steam, G2A or similar online retailers. Ensures I get the best deals that way!

I usually always buy games at Gamestop. There's no particular reason why I do other than the fact it's just always how I bought games, so I guess if it ain't broke don't fix it!

I regularly buy video games from GameStop.
But I often occasionally shop online.
Especially if there's a deal to be made you'd be surprised what you can find while surfing on the internet.

I buy my games online, simply because I fall for the GameStop "trade in for real money!" gimmick every Christmas when I'm lacking funds for decent gifts for my family! They give you so little actual money for premium games, and then they sell them for a 200% markup! I love the GameStop reward program, and they have some genuinely great offers every now and then, but come on GameStop! Grrrr! /rant. Sometimes I buy on G2A but that's kind of risky I've heard, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it! Be careful on the internet folks! :p

I buy video games every where. I am super cheap so I want the best bargain. I'll drive fro miles if a bargain can be had. I would say Game Stop, Target, Ebay, Amazon, local gaming stores I'll buy or barter from a friend or family member for cheap, trading shops, letgo, close5 or any of those apps. They always have people selling for dirt cheap on those apps. Craigslist is my last resort. It is a great deal i'll do it but people are always weird on that site.

I generally try and purchase my games at game exchange. They have the best deals locally and give the most for exchanges.

I haven't bought a physical game in about 5 years and that was when I bought a used PS3 on Ebay and some games came along with it. The last time I bought a game in a store was even longer ago. I buy all my games online, mostly on steam, but on occasion from Origin (Battlefront most recently).

Except for mobile games, I did not game for several years until last November. And I was niw gaming on a laptop and hadn't owned a computer for even longer than I didn't game.

I found Steam for the first time and bought several games because they had that Mega Winter Sale and games really were very cheap! So far, I have had good experiences with Steam and they regularly have deals and offer so many Free games that you could just play those and game well, even if you are really poor. I was new to the newer games, so I really got into the "Zombie Survival" type games, among others. I don't game anywhere as much as I used to because of Life and all, but I have had good times when I do.

I buy console games on stores like GameStop. While PC games, I buy from Steam. I wait for Bundles Sales for cheaper prices.

I normally buy games online on services such as Steam or on the game’s website. I rarely ever buy or pre-purchase games at a store or online for a store and go pick it up as I usually can’t bothered to ever go and pick it up. Therefore it usually is online and is safe unless it’s a console game though I rarely play those as I’m not into consoles as much as a PC.

Lately it's been a mix of Steam, Amazon and physical stores. Steam for all the PC releases that I want to play and am able to play on a decent laptop. Amazon and physical stores for my 3DS and Wii U games. And as much as I hate to admit it, the occasional Gamestop visit since I'm a sucker for limited editions and exclusives.

Back in the day when I did not had good internet I buy it from an store on discs. Now however I just use steam or other online based network as it's fast little cheaper and simple way to get the game. Also once you have it on steam you have it for life :)

I usually buy mine on steam if its on sale. I used to go buy games on stores but too lazy to go on a 30 min commute just to buy a game.
