Tetris is the best game ever made for Gameboy/Color/Pocket/Super.

Pokemon is, of course, a shoo-in. Overall they probably provide the best gameplay value over all gameboy systems, and they have that strong element of multiplayer to them that you really don't find much in handheld games before current-gen games. As for what I personally enjoyed the most, I love love LOVE the Ace Attorney series - now that is a series I can't get enough of. The localization team was apparently amazing because the games are hilarious in English, and the cases are interesting too. Even though not all of them are super difficult, there were definitely cases I got stuck on for a long time and ones that had a surprise ending for me.

Definitely the Pokemon games, hands-down. Other than that, I remember I really enjoyed the old Zelda and Harvest Moon games too.

Pokemon Red was my favorite Gameboy game from my childhood. I played the living hell out of that game. I think it's my favorite to date because I got so much use out of it. I will never forget all of the releases that came with the pokemon series- such as the links to trade pokemon, etc. Some of my fondest memories are sitting on the floor with my brother trading pokemon.

It's hard to pick. It's weird because the original Game Boy is one of the systems that I've revisited from my youth the least, although I played it a lot when I was a kid. Link's Awakening, Wario Land, Super Mario Bros. 2... Theses are all games I played and loved. I was in middle school when Pokemon came out but I still loved it and played it a lot.

There were a couple of sports games that I really enjoyed when I was a kid although I doubt they hold up now: Roger Clemens MVP Baseball, and Top Ranked Tennis. I used to play those games constantly on long trips as a kid.

I have plenty of favorite games from the game boy color generation. Link's awakening is also one of the best Zelda titles I have ever beaten, pretty slick dungeon design and the overworld is very diverse and full of surprises.

Dragon Warrior Monsters 1 & 2 is not quite as solid as Pokémon games, but they can be addictive as hell. Pokémon Crystal is among my favorite editions, the animated sprites were
pretty cool to behold and battle frontier was a good way to further the challenge.

My favorite gameboy game would have to be Pokemon Sapphire. Although it was reviewed as having too much water, this game stood out to me much more than the other older Pokemon generation games. This game had three great starters, a very cool variety of Pokemon, and really great graphics for their hardware capabilities at the time. This game proved its greatness once again as it was remade on the 3DS, which shows how much people enjoy the game.

Well I am going to have a little issue with my memory when it comes to the Gameboy, but I know I had some good ones. Tetris of course comes to mind, and I know I spent a lot of time playing that. I also know I had a Kirby game, but I cannot remember which one specifically. There was a Yoshi game where you had to match eggs, and then Castlevania. I know there were more, and I really wish I could remember them. I might need to browse some games to jar my memory a little bit. Thanks for sharing.

The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening! Its a lot like A Link to the Past but way better. That was my favorite game to play the storyline was good. I do like all of the Zelda games but that has to be my all time favorite. Koholint was a beautiful and magical place. I got so many rupees and I played with my brothers sometimes. They weren't into as much as I was. I think they just played to appease me. Either way I liked playing with them.

Not to sound like a copycat but my favorite is also Pokemon, I KNOW! Maybe because it was one of the first games that I've played on my old Gameboy but I just enjoyed it so, so much. It was the Pokemon Blue Edition.

But Pokemon aside, the other favorites are Mario and Donkey Kong. A friend at school was the only one that had the first Donkey Kong and we were all so amazed by it. We used to sit in a circle and watch him play it. It seems stupid now but back then it was so much fun! I still remember the levels with all those rolling barrels, haha.

I really loved the Mario Kart for the Gameboy advance. It was the first racing game I had played and really stuck with me, I used to play it all the time at school.

If we're just talking original Gameboy and not GBA or anything, then I'd have to pick Super Mario Land and Pokemon Yellow. Mario is one of the games I got with my Gameboy, and Pokemon Yellow got me into the series. I love them both!

I personally love the Megaman Battle Network series. I thought the graphics were really cute and just right for me, I honestly think about it to this day and I hope to make a game with graphics similar to it. The game play was pretty decent too, combat wise, it's based off on random encounters but the battle is real time, which is just the way I like it.

If this is just about the Gameboy then it would have to be Pokemon Yellow. I liked being able to have all three starters on your team and Pikachu. It was like the anime and I really enjoyed that.

Pokemon Silver for sure and mostly because I put so much effort in those pokemons, I remember that I was super proud of my Mewtwo and Lapras at level 100, the story was pretty great too everything about the pokemons in letter shapes (forgot the name) was really interesting.

I think Tetris will always be one of my favorites. I played that so much as a kid that I would basically play Tetris in my mind when I closed my eyes before going to sleep each night. I own a copy of it for the original Gameboy, and I have Tetris Worlds for my Gameboy SP. The Tetris Worlds seems to be so much easier because you can reserve an extra piece.
Besides that, my other favorite is Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. I honestly love that game. You can collect so much stuff in that game and leveling up is so satisfying. It is one of those games where you can pretty much explore the world and do almost whatever you want, so I suppose that is why I like it so much.

I would say Kirby's Dream Land. I had dreams about it as a kid. It led to my obsession with Kirby and the amount of Kirby sketch art that ensued. Ahh. Memories. I don't remember much about it. I just remember the natural scenery and how old it was. The black and white graphics are kind fo awkward though.

The Pokemon games were great but Pokemon Yellow still has a special place because it's the first game I played on the GBA. It was fun being the Pokemon trainer you imagined while watching the TV show. Finding my first legendary, Articuno, was also an amazing memory because my mind was blown that I could have someone so strong on my team. My brothers played it for a bit but it ended up a mistake because they somehow found Zapdos and killed him before I could even react.
