Hopefully someone here might have the answer, about a few months ago I've seen a YouTube video of a game that looked interesting.

Basically you start off with a rock or something and you're like a caveman. Then you can start building and evolving, I guess it's similar to MineCraft minus the cube shapes.

It's an MMO as I remember seeing other guys with rocks running around looking like they were rock worshipers and they could build cabins and fires, eventually they were able to get machine guns. If anybody knows the name of this game feel free to share that, as well as if the game is even worth playing. I apologize of the details of this are vague, the environment in the game seemed quite empty from what I remember.

I did a few quick Google searches to try and find out but no results. I'm really curious to know now, this game sounds very interesting, aha. If it's still running I'd like to play it.

I'm almost positive that it's a steam game and it's basically like a survival game, I know that other players can use their mics in-game to communicate. I think it came out sometime last year but I could be wrong. The game's weather changes and it goes from Morning to Night. I remember the name being something short, like Rock or Road, it's been driving me crazy trying to come across it and I also tried searching through Google but to no luck so far.

The only game that I can think of which sounds somewhat similar is The Forest, if that is the game, and you end up getting it do tell me and we can play together!

So I finally found the game, it's called Rust. I'm still debating on whether or not to try it out, I hate spending money on games that I end up never touching again. Also, @ The Godfather, I checked out The Forest on Steam and it looks really promising to be honest. I need to do some more digging on that one as well because it almost seems single player based on the introduction but I did see some media on it that looked like it might be multiplayer and if that's the case I might give it a whirl. If you know for sure about whether or not The Forest is multiplayer preferably an MMO then definitely let me know.

It's Rust. Everyone starts naked with a rock. It's a fun survival game. I watched a few gameplays on youtube and it's good. I tried it out a few times, had a good fun with it, but I suck at survival games. So I stopped playing.

I'm typing this in 2017 so you might have already found it but just in case I think the game you are talking about is Ark Survival: Evolved or it could be Rust. They're both games that are similar to what you have described so just give those a search and hopefully I helped. :)

I agree with Sino989, its either Rust or Ark Survival, according to my research, those are the two games that fit the description you gave.

From what I have experienced, Rust could be fun to play especially if you have friends since there is thrill and fun when gathering resources in the outside world while being exposed to a wide variety of threat. It can be tedious at times if you always get picked off and killed by bandits or people that do not even want to negotiate and kill you right away. I know that every person does have the potential to kill you there that is why I understand why they are always on guard when it comes to encountering random strangers, but that is why they have implemented the voice chat communication in order to easily talk to someone else, even without typing. It's satisfying to be able to build your own base, and devastating to be raided with no one else to help you defend your fortress.
