PS2 Favorite PlayStation 2 Game

I really can't pick a favorite, but a game that really stood out to me was Dragon Quest 8. It had a really gorgeous, cel shaded artstyle that still looks nice today. Its gameplay is comparable to titles like Final Fantasy X, if you're not familiar with DQ. Quite a few side quests too, if just beating the game (about 60 hours) isn't enough for you.

Shadow of the Colossus is my favorite Playstation 2 game. The whole game is about fighting huge titans and they're the only enemies in the game. The God of War franchise is a close second.

My all time favorite is the dot Hack series. Dot Hack//GU is an incredible game that features a good mix of roleplaying and fighting along with a nice art style. The game itself features an MMO where players fall into mysterious comas after their character is KO'd by certain players. It's a very interesting story that I deeply enjoy.

For my favorite PlayStation 2 game I'm going to pick any of the Dragon Ball Z Budokai games. If I had to pick one it would be Budokai 3. I think I had the most fun with that game and all my friends got really good at it. We would have tournaments for days.

Oh geez, picking just one game from the PS2 is really difficult. I can narrow it down easily to 3 games but once there I am having trouble awarding first, second, and third.

The game I spent the most time playing would probably be Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. While it didn't really break any new ground as Vice City and III had come out earlier on the system, it did take the best of what the series had to offer and package it all together. I still occasionally play it on PC and Android.

Final Fantasy X is amazing. I loved the story, I loved Blitzball, I loved the combat mechanics. It is without doubt my favorite RPG from the last 15 years. Play time would rival that of GTA:SA. I miss that old style of combat before everything was twitch real time based as it is in the modern FF titles.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater was brilliant. I loved hunting things and the different camouflage levels. The story was great and its probably the last game that really brought me to tears at the end.

So which of those three is my favorite? Hmmm....

Final fantasy x and final fantasy x2. I wasted so much of my teenage years playing them. I don't think I have the games anymore. Otherwise, I would probably be playing that instead of cheap PS3 games.

Its a close tie between GTA San Andreas and Dragon Quest 3. Between those two games I spent many hours playing. I also enjoyed playing the Final Fantasy series games, but unfortunately I was unable to complete the last one I had before damaging my PS2 slim.

For me it would be a slim competition between Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 and Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. Maybe even the addition of WWE 2009. My primary console was the PS2 when I was younger and I had a lot of games for it but those stood out the most for me.

My favorite PS2 game is Gran Turismo 3 A- Spec. Oh How I this playing this game so much. The variety of cars in this game is just amazing. Not to mention the tracks in the game. I remember racing the blue Calosonic R34 GTR up Trial Mountain and just the car of the small hill right before the finish aw man, just the memories flowing back to me :relaxed:

My favorite game on the PS2 is Marvel Vs Capcom 2. Being able to control all my favorite marvel superheroes and villains was awesome."

I can't pick one that's the problem. Off the top of my head, Grand Theft Auto San Andreas from 2004. So many hours and hours of pointless gaming. Other notable mentions include God of War 2, SSX 3, and Super Smash Bros. (melee was better than brawl). As well as NBA Street Vol. 1 and 2, Tekken 5, and Need For Speed Most Wanted - Black Edition.

GTA SA, for me, is really everything I wanted in a game at that time.The storyline, in my opinion, is the best of the Grand Theft Auto series. The era of PS2 console gaming brought a lot of childhood memories, along with pioneering future innovations in the Playstation series.

It's a tie beetween Shadow of the Colossus and Kingdom Hearts: both of them are not only my favourite PS2 games, but ones of my favourite games ever.
Shadow of the Colossus was simply amazing. Every fight was unique, you had to think about how to win, and being able to freely move in such a big open world with your horse was extraordinary. It had an atmosphere I never found in another game.
Kingdom Hearts... I spent years trying to find a copy, because I bought a PS2 year after the game was released so there weren't many copies around. When I finally found it, I loved it, expecially as a Disney lover (at the time I had never played any Final Fantasy game, so I really didn't care about that part of the game). The sequel was also good, but the first one is always my favourite.

The best PS2 game i have ever played is called Black by EA. Such a sweet game! I remember playing it with my home theater so the sound effects could really stand out. I loved every chapter of this game and the sound effects were great! Thumbs up for this game.

I remember my favourite game to play on my PS2 was a game called BLACK by EA.It was a first person shooting game, so good! I even remember playing it with my home theater on so the whole experience would get a lot more exciting.. It had very good sound effects and I remember every single chapter was super well made and super interesting.. Thumbs up for this game!
